- This is Laowas newest M-mount lens. And unlike the earlier wide angles for the format it has a fast f2 aperture. Rangefinder coupled of course!

where are u man ? are u ok ?
Looks like he made a community post 10 days ago, so hopefully he'll be back soon!
We miss you, Mr. Mattias. Hope you are well, and hope more videos come soon…
Come back I need you
Dear Matthias,
Since your review of the Nokias Lumia 1520 and 1020, all smartphone reviews in youtube look garbage, your reviews have souls, something alive in it. We need you back in smartphone's reviews industry.
I respect Laowa for always coming up with weird-ass focal lengths
Good to see some new M-Mount equipment hitting the market. Thanks for the video.
As Pentaxians will know, 15mm is such a nice focal length on APS-C. Looks like it'd be a bunch of fun with the Pixii.
Imagine if Ricoh made another m-mount camera and it had Pentax limited and Ricoh GR lenses too... It would be perfect
@@gusatvoschiavon I'd be more excited for a half-frame film SLR with KAF4 mount, to use all my glass from my KP. Ideally it could switch full to half frame midroll.
First time I watched first! Im a big fan! Been watching you a long time :-)
Nicely done, brief and precise.
Hope you are well
Hi
Its been a while since we see you ? Hope all is well ?
The speed which with I clicked this knowing I'm not going to get this lense or this camera but just because I like whatever you upload...
Miss your videos..
I've been using the 15mm end of my 15-45mm kit lens on my fuji and it's surprisingly fun to use. Might pick this up because focus by wire feels weird sometimes.
I hope things are well with you and your family, I miss your very entertaining videos, my interest in older or more unusual cameras made them among my favourites. I hope we will hear from you again.
Hey Mattias, I think a camera particularly you will appreciate is the Panasonic S1. Image quality, high ISO, build, screens are all amazingly ahead of their time. And it’s an absolute bargain these days. Also the L mount is very vast now.
Great video as always , amazing pictures. I have a request for you. Can you make a video comparing Leica M10 and Pixii camera as a Pixii costs almost same as used Leica M10? That would be very helpful !! Thanks in advance.
Hi Mattias , I'm looking for maybe a 50mm lens ( looking for a tele type lens ) - any recommendations for the Pixxi so it does not obscure rangefinder etc ? Thanks,Paul.
Do you still own Viltrox 13 1.4 and could you compare those wide angle lenses on apsc or FF cameras?
sweet.... I think I need it :D my 21 Voigtlander is f 4.5.... and on M8 or RD-1 well in bright daylight ok.
Great video! Out of curiosity, do you think Pixii will fix the focusing patch overlap issue in the future?
No idea if they will. There are reasons to why they choose to build it this way.
Is the rangefinder coupling accurate "right out of the box" or is it user-adjustable like the 7Artisans lenses?
Seems accurate so far.
If comma is acceptable I would consider this for some Astro photography.
Interesting looking lens 😊
I miss your videos. Your content is so different to other usually gear release focused channels. For example, I've watched your videos on the Pentax Q series of cameras probably 20 times. I hope you are well Mr. Burling.
Nice to see the GFX 50R; I wanted a Pixii so bad but ended up with an 50R when I found one "bargain" quality used for super cheap that works like new. Never was a fan of ultra-wide focal lengths, the PanaLeica 15mm on MFT is pushing it for me at 30mm equivalent. This would be what, ~23mm on a Pixii? I know a lot of people swear by 24 and 28mm, maybe I'll give it a go again with 8:3 crop since I prefer that over 65:24 of xpan (it's like 64:24 compared to 65:24, but my favorite aspect ratio is 4:3 and it feels better, that or 21:9).
All these new lens brands is a very interesting development in the photography world So many options these days
I would love to know how the vignetting and sunstars look on this.
I have their 6mm lens for MFT. And it's quite something. I recently got to use it for some 360° panoramas but that's a skill I need to learn and improve a lot.
What I dislike is the included lens cap. I got the cine version and it comes in a nice pelican case... But the lens cap just falls off. It's not magnetic or screwed.
Hey Mattias, are you ok? It's been a while
Let me know if you can get an affiliate code for this for Australia, as I'm pretty sure I'll get one of these eventually.
Do you bother with using a viewfinder for this or just zone focus and point it at things?
I still use it a bit. Wide open close up it’s needed. But I often zone focus and use the viewfinder as a guide.
@@mattiasburling Makes sense. Unrelated question: is there an FAQ floating around on which post processing software supports the Pixii? My usual software, DxO Photolab, does not.
Pixii uses raw DNGs so all software that can process raw can use it.
At 15mm I expect the rangefinder indicator just says "It's in focus".
Nice Hermes 3000
Take a look at the Lumix GM-1, the smallest camera in the world with interchangeable lenses and a 16 megapixel micro four thirds sensor, sounds exciting!
I have one, had it since release. Cool camera but not the smallest. And imo, not better than the Q. I explain why in my review of the Q.
@@mattiasburling True, the Q is a little smaller, I like both :) keep up the great videos!
Mattias come back
