My favorite tones are Air Horn, Wail, Whoop, and Hi-Low. Also, for those of you who didn't know, Whelen offers a continuous Air Horn tone as well. Many Whelens just have the Discontinuous Air Horn tone like this one has, but some do have the Continuous Air Horn tone in it's place. The Continuous Air Horn tone is an optional tone. Whelen offers many optional tones such as music. These sirens are very amazing in my opinion.
I won't lie, the Air Horn sounds almost, if not outright apocalyptic holy shit. I honestly hope I won't have to hear that sound outside of tests ever in my life... 😨

Andrew Thomas Since Colchester tests their sirens one by one, I got to go in and test a couple of 2016’s, talk over the PA, and operate the radios. This siren is right outside the EOC, so I set up the camera, and radioed in to the EMA director when I was ready.
Milford CT has WPS2805’s used for flash flood warnings. They do the wail tone and a voice message when set off. They don’t test them however, but I have footage on my channel
Well in my area hi lo means the army depo has had a chemical emergency, the long non stop tone is the universal tornado warning tone, i just listened to it last night after a tornado passed through, hupe this answers your question
5 things: Is this louder than the Whelen Vortex R4? Do they have the same tones? Does all of the tones sound the same? Does the WPS-2910 have all of the same tones? Is the WPS-2910 louder than this siren?
The Vortex is directional, so it'd be louder. The tones are generated by the controller box, so they'll sound identical if they use the same controller. This also means they'll have the same tones. The 2910 has twice the speaker cells as this 2905, so it is definitely louder.
