Interesting... when you mentioned it was a one hour boat ride, I was thinking you'll be pleasently surprised to find out it's only about 15 minutes. Been in Hiro for many years, just assumed you were taking the local train (even those electric lines running through the city go to Miyajima) to the final stop which is Miyajima-guchi for a few hundred yen, then ferry for another few hundred yen (making it the faster and cheaper option since you were wondering). Never realized that the boat you took was an option. The deer... yes. I was worried for your onigiri when you set it down. I once saw a deer decimate the packaging of a woman's box of cookies, that were no doubt inteded to be a gift. She had to fight for it.
That's great to know! Maybe I should add that into the video so everyone else can take the cheaper option! It was my first time there so I didn't know, and I didn't do any research lol. The deer so aggressive! Def be careful of those deer, I learned quickly. That must have been funny to see :D Thank you for this info though! That's very helpful!
Less people in general for one! Like, it feels weird to say but it felt so much more peaceful then most other places I've been. I think it also didn't feel made for tourism like Kyoto and Tokyo sometimes seem.

Miyajima is where Marylene Monroe & her husband (Joe dimagio) had visited for their honeymoon.
I had no idea! They chose a great spot!
What really stood out for you about Hiroshima? Was it just the sense it wasn't as full of international tourists?
