We have a planner and the maintenance supervisor works as a scheduler but still it looks like the productivity is still 30%, what do you think is the problem?
Many organisations have 'implemented' planning & scheduling and have a planner, a scheduler but still struggle with a highly reactive environment and low productivity. Usually that is because of a few things: many times these organisations confuse planning with scheduling and we find that their planners spend most of their time scheduling and doing admin jobs, not planning. Often they do not prioritise new work requests well and have way too many break-ins into their frozen weekly schedule. And very often it is because they either have a poor planning & scheduling process, or because their team is not working to the official process. Or a combination of all of the above :)
