A huge thanks to everyone who was so generous and nice to us at DragonCon. A lot of our crew were feeling rough due to a big film shoot right before D-Con, but you all helped make the weekend an interesting enjoyable odyssey for us. There will be more videos to come!

I watch it all the time when I'm down but this year it kinda brings me down. Fuck 2020 can't wait to be back in 2021

I cry every time i see this video. This is amazing the cosplays the people those who capture all the joy and excitement on their cameras. Its all just so beautiful I live for moments of pure happiness brought to every convention and its attendees. Bless this video and all your other ones.
This is what cosplay is meant to be. A fun hobby that brings us all together, no matter where we've come from, or done in our lives.

I just love the intro. It´s so true, for just a moment we escape life in exchange for happiness, love, connection and leave the pain and sorrow behind us. For just a moment we forget all the uncertainty, fear and the heavy weight that lies on our shoulders here in life and goes into something totally different. We leave ourselves behind and become someone else, but at the same time we become ourselves when we leave all the fear and uncertainty behind and can finally be free for a moment. That just what I love with this universe. Just trolling around having fun with others like there was no tomorrow. Dress up in your favorite costumes and roleplay and laugh with others, making new friends that maybe you will meet once every year. I´m going to an event called "Närcon" here in Sweden and it will be my first cosplay and roleplay ever. Me and my friend are going and I´m so looking forward to this. My family doesn´t understand, they think that we are just carefree and stupid kids playing around in suits. But it´s so much more than that. Just leaving everything behind for a moment. That´s just what I need. Leaving everything behind....yeah....that sounds nice..

Some people describe it as a bunch of grown ups dressing up in costumes. I describe it as a bunch of people who like to be express their quirky and wonderful passions. How cool is it that people can so open and passionate about things they love without being judged?! Bloody brilliant!

Lidge1994 Do it anyway! you can cosplay who ever you want! no one in the community will tell you you can't cosplay OC. Hell, most of my Cosplay is mashed up versions of many different characters
Let's just say I'd need a LOT of money for the detail and the mechanism..it's be "assembly required" if you get what I mean :)
@@lidge1994 start small and work your way up, no costume is ever truly complete, hell, I have a Batman costume that I've been adding tidbits here and there for years.

This video really does capture the feel of Dragoncon. Love this so much. Didn't even start going until 2014 but this video streams Dragoncon straight into my heart. I come back to it over and over. Love this.
Its been 8 (almost 9) years since this video was posted and its still my favorite dragoncon video. Watching it now during con weekend since i cant be there, and havent been able to since 2018 *sobs*. I watch this video all the time tho ngl lol thank you and everyone who makes dragoncon so great
I couldn't ever possibly tell you how many times I've watched this and your 2015 Dragon Con party video. I've been watching CMVs for pretty much every con I can find for the past five years, and yours are two of the best, if not THE best, at summarizing everything that cosplay and conventions are. Every time I watch them, I think "if someone ever asks why I love cons so much, I'm going to show them this." It's SO good. It makes me want to go home and work on my cosplays no matter how many times I've already seen them. Thank you for making them ❤️❤️

Same here!! I want to cosplay, but I'm starting to realize how much money it is because of makeup/face paint, the costume, skin products etc.
This video made me cry, mainly because it is the first inspiration I've ever received to cosplay. And watching it after starting my very first cosplay ever, Cecil Baldwin from Welcome to Nightvale, made me cry tears of happiness. This video isn't just good, its not just fun, its a work of art and an inspiration.

I love how much effort people put in there costumes, every single one has alot of work in it and are just full of epicness.
Is it okay that I cried because of this? So many people so much time and effort into their cosplays and it's just so beautiful to witness so many loving caring people congregate like this and just be themselves and enjoy each other's company.
this is what cosplaying is all about, just stepping away from reality and just having fun with other people who love the same things as you do in the world of fiction.

When people ask me why do I love cosplay so much, I show them this video. You're an amazing videographer and I can't wait to see more videos.
No matter how many times I see this video it makes my day. It makes me so glad to be a cosplayer, to know the feelings these people are showing in the video, and the opening monologue is so relevant to all of us. It makes me want to dance in my cosplay and meet all these people. Most of all, it makes me glad I'm not alone in this hobby, that there's more of us than we think
it blows my mind how good some of these costumes are. i have never gone to something like this, but i see these vids and im starting to think it's worth it just to see the amazing costumes

It was BDB's 2012 Dragon*Con vid that inspired me to finish my Daft Punk costumes for 2013. To have gotten in the video twice that has defined Dragon*Con for me, meant the world over...going to D*C and turning 21 the same weekend was something I'll never forget! Everytime I watch this video, it brings me back to what was one of the most surreal experiences of my life! Bringing a whole new Daft costume to life for 2014, see you there!

Great video, really captures the heart of the con. I enjoyed seeing a bunch of excellent costumes that I didn't get a chance to see in person (like the Eddie Izzard cosplayer and the Marriott carpet camouflage)
Wow! This video blew my mind! My first con had a "record breaking" 800 attendees, the guests were two (unknown) sci-fi writers and two Star Trek actors. People wore t-shirts that looked like old Trek uniforms and lightsabers were made of wood. Cons sure have come a long way!

Always come for the music and stay for the awesome Cosplay. It was nice to see some of the weirder less oft cosplayed characters like the fruit of the loom guys or Marvin the Martian. Really fun stuff.

Is it weird that the last segment had me in literal tears? Also, +100000 for "Human Traffic--" I always thought that movie was a great analogue for fans at a convention!
