We will forever be indebted to you Teresa for all the efforts you’ve made over the years to kept Leon’s memory alive... Yours contributions to the city of Tulsa, your continuing efforts to include all the past and current musicians and artists of varying degrees has left a profound image in the minds and hearts of all those that love the Master of Space and Time🌹🌅❣️
Hello William! Thank you for your kind comments. We have a very dedicated (Leon-loving) team! We are grateful you a part of our family too! Hope to see you soon.
I am stunned by what you are doing. Leon Russell was the first concert I ever went to (1972-Long Beach Arena, Calif) and the last-(2016-Santa Fe, New Mexico). The beauty you are creating here is beyond anything I ever thought would happen. Now I need to visit Tulsa.
I am a little bit behind in my space and time but I was "there" when Leon performed in 1973 in Ft. Worth, TX, & he was a show stopper! Dressed in his white suit & top hat, he decided to get down when he got up on top of his white grand piano with his guitar to play a few tunes with Stevie Winwood (Traffic). My jaw still drops when I think about it. Forty years later, another Leon fan & I set out to Tulsa to see my current (living) favorite TX guitarist--Eric Johnson--doing a "make-up concert" for the one that was canceled during Covid. I also had read about The Church & we were totally blown away with Tulsa, OK's diverse sense as a musical mecca mixed with ART--we were humbled & ecstatic. Thank you most humbly Teresa Knox, Patrick Gordon & Brian Lewis & all the folks that have turned Tulsa into sacred ground.
Over & over the word incredible comes up, that's b/c it IS incredible. The planets are all becoming aligned for the perfect tribute to our beloved Leon. You all three are incredible & a blessing to Tulsa & the legacy of Leon Russell. There's no words to express the gratitude I feel for you vison Teresa....admiration too. You da' girl w/ the plan! ♫ ♪ ♫
I just came across this & it warms my heart to see & know that my home town is & has celebrated an incredible talent, one of the greats of music Leon Russell!! He will never be forgotten, will always have a place in our hearts & memories!! Thank you to all involved, God bless you!!!
Thank You, Leon was truly one of the most important , but unknown performers of the 20th century. Second concert I ever went to was headlined by Leon. Thanks again. I can't wait to come see the studio.
Can only add my Thank yous, to the others. Leon has been a part of my life since 1972 approx. will be joining my musical round up for my cremation. Thank you, Leon. Thank all the rest who contribute their own thoughts and feelings. Luvu Leon, R.I.P.
Wow, totally cool work! Thanks to all of you! Having met PS Gordon in person years ago while doing the rock work around his pool. I learned that not only is he an amazing artist, he is also a very nice human being!😎😎😎😎
Teresa, you continue to amaze and inspire me. Your style is impeccable, and brings people together for the best of reasons. Leon loved style, and I know he would love yours. He would be a little embarrassed with all of the attention, but he’d love that too 🎩. Above all, he’d love the art, and your presentation of it. I know I do ❤️
Thank you so much for saving this wonderful piece of history with such beautiful paintings to keep music we all love alive. Gratitude sent from a long time Leon Russell fan, and the fan of musicians/legends that can still perform there for those who have always loved them.
...wow. That was beautiful. Good luck with these efforts. Leon Russell was a genius, and arguably, the most important musician of the entire modern era. His influence on, and direct connections to, those more famous 'stars' cannot be underestimated. Like Ray Charles, he fused musical branches into a whole new Forest. i love Leon like i love Joni Mitchell or Paul Simon or Miles -- the names can fall like rain. But the more i study Leon's history, the more astonishing the man becomes. The Church Studio is a brilliant legacy for this pillar of modern musical history. Long Live Leon and those that champion his Art.
Absolutely! His life and legacy becomes even more and more fascinating as we uncover stories from people who knew him personally. Every new "Legends" interview tells yet another story of how incredible he was, and how he changed yet another life forever!
Finally got to tour the Church Studio last week. It's like walking into a "holy place." Walking into the "live room" is like walking into a cathedral. Teresa, you did it right!!!
Love the little doggy in your lap! You are a wonderful creative artist ~ Tulsa and all the Lifers are so appreciative of your contributions and wonderful works🌹🌅❣️ ps I wear the Black and white tee religiously❣️

🎉
How does one purchase that t-shirt. I adore Leon. Still....
The Church has an online store. You should be able to find it there, depending on which shirt you're referring to!
thechurchstudio.com/shop
Thank you, have a blessed day...
i love your dogs ,what breed?
Love your tee-shirt! Are they available for sale?
Where can I buy the shirt Teresa is wearing in this interview?
They sold out 😢 It was a temporary run
My comment has disappeared, any reason for that?
Can’t watch this, the woman in the video’s voice is irritating.
Can’t wait to see this while I’m in Tulsa in January!
We're excited for you to come!! The mural is breathtaking.
