I bought this CD at an Elton John concert in 2011 and miraculously i left at the end of the show with Elton having signed it for me. I love that this is the CD he signed for me because this album came out of Elton’s gratitude to, and love for, Leon.
The Master of Space and Time ~ Rest In The Hands of Angels, Leon. He will never be forgotten. His music and legend will live on. I'm so glad Elton John made sure Leon was given the recognition he so deserved.
I started listening to Leon back in the early 70's, I always loved him. I had no idea he had just fallen into a lonely position in life. I'm so happy Elton got back in touch with Leon and gave him what seemed to be a reason to live. I only wish it had happened sooner, but at least it happened. RIP with the Angels Leon. And thank you Elton for giving Leon that bit of feeling appreciated. You have a heart of gold. You had me in tears watching your reaction to this song!

So beautiful & Elton's reaction choked me up when he says "Bless his heart" one of Leon's much stated phrases & even more when Elton tells Leon " The Angels are never gonna let you go, you know that right?" & I nearly melted when Leon says "That's what happens when you save people's lives" etc. This video is priceless especially since Leon IS now "In the hands of Angels"❤️❤️❤️
I liked this song on the album "The Union" but am so glad to see how it was was formed and how it even made Elton cry when he realized it's importance. Leon's thank you note to his saviors; and of course, that wonderful piano accompaniment (that made Elton jump up out of his chair & come over).....

I'm so happy to see beautiful, magnificent Leon "coming back to life" ~ he has been such an important part of the sound track to my life. These are the moments. Ive been a fan of Leon Russell since I was 14 ..He is one of the greatest of my life time. And Ive been a fan of Elton also since I was a kid. It is a shame, in a way, that Elton needed to remind folks of Leon but Im sure glad he did...I love you Leon and Elton ..Elton did a good thing but it seems hes always doing good things.
It is no wonder why I had to buy this album. Not to hold on to a piece of my youth, but to experience new music from a very special collaboration of oldies and goodies.
I cry too when I see this. Leons music always moves my heart. Now I´m lucky to have seen him in shows, last year and this year. Never could dream of that. I think all this started when Elton was in a TV show with Elvis Costello, that I saw some years ago. Wow, Elton and I have the same idol.

For Elton John to have his idol write a song about him would have been so moving.
