I think when you make videos targeted directly towards an audience that is made up of families and young people, the most 'common sense' thing to do would be to immediately address the situation and debunk any claims. Why would he need to hide behind a team of 'the best lawyers in the UK' if he was innocent?
@@loisc6438 you realize plenty of innocent people are in jail/prison right? That's actually an extremely unfair argument and it's used by police quite a bit. Protecting your rights and speaking to a lawyer, especially if you're a public figure, is the smart thing to do. Idk who Chris Ingram is, this scandal is the first I heard of him, so I don't know enough about this to comment whether I think he did this or not. All I know, is saying someone's guilty for speaking to a lawyer before making a public statement, is absolutely Ridiculous!
I'm sorry but in my opinion the most smart thing to do, like i said would be to immediately address this situation and debunk any claims, especially when he is continuing to make daily videos targeted at the same audience who have made these claims, young teenage girls. Shane Dawson (as mentioned in this vid) had similar accusations against him, he has a much larger platform and a lot more to lose, and yet he was able (without lawyers) to debunk the claims. Its the fact he's smirking when he's saying "am I a peadophile?". Coming from somebody who was sexually abused as a child, I feel physically sick. My life was forever changed because of my experience and even as a 27 year old adult, my everyday life is still severely affected. If he has done this (and I believe he has by watching Jess' video) then I hope he does loose his business, children involved or not.

I wouldn't say that Sarah is innocent in this because she chose to stick by him, at the end of the day she could potentially be putting her kids in danger by standing with Chris... The proof is very solid especially with Jess, and if Sarah was a sensible woman then she'd not stick by him!

I think it's true I think she does know what he's done is true but if you put yourself in her position she has 3 children to support and one on the way if she comes out and admits he's done what he's done she could lose everything, money, business, house... we do not know if she supports Chris or not as she had chosen to stay out of it, it's funny that the video was posted on Chris' channel
Speaking as someone who has been in a similar-ish situation (the victim of sexual abuse), the guy who did it also spun it to act the victim. So Chris’s behaviour just screams ‘guilt’ to me. Who would admit it? Come on. Also if this took place in Florida, yes it was illegal since she was under 18. There’s genuine evidence...It’s frightening how it’s being denied and swept under the rug. The only person to blame for the distress caused to his poor, pregnant wife and children is himself. No matter what it is not ok for a grown man in the public eye to be DMing teenage girls. It is abuse of his position. All he needed to do was to say that yes, he had sent messages and it was an error of judgement and he is sorry firstly to the girls involved and secondly to his family. Either way grooming is not allowed at any age it's wrong. That's why Jess (the first girl to put the story up) went to the Florida police. Why 34 and grooming a girl who's 16 to meet after midnight and adding them on social media and 'skinny dipping' I'm 19 and still wouldn't want any of that.

YES! Don't let anyone try to guilt trip you or manipulate you into silence. Especially not the perpetrator! The only person to blame for all the things Chris is saying...is Chris himself. He should have thought of this before he private messaged teenage girls about skinny dipping and private parties in hotel rooms or late night walks! He's not denying the messages. He's not saying he was hacked or it wasn't him. He's saying that legally those messages are not considered sexual grooming or peaophillia or predatory but just because something is legal, it does not make it moral or appropriate or ok. Ann K No, that is false; whether he did it or not, makes him innocent or guilty! A jury’s decision does NOT mean no crime/incident took place. It’s merely a bunch of people picked out to do jury service, who form an opinion between them, which may not necessarily be a correct one. Hence why so many crimes and criminals go unpunished, and so many victims are left with no justice, and end up with mental illnesses like PTSD, or too afraid to leave their own homes. (Speaking from experience of being a victim, and having done jury service!)

in the UK age of consent is 16. however, in Florida (where they were when this happened) the age of consent is 18. so Chris definitely was committing a crime by trying to get in bed with such a young girl. ugh it makes me sick thinking about it 😔

not saying she's lying but there has been lots of false allegations made against people. my cousin was accused by another family member when we where younger and she also accused her stepdad she admitted everything was a lie eventually but she still caused lots of stress and upset all for abit of attention... The first signs of guilt are manipulation and denial. Address everything head on, show evidence and then people will see your innocence. BUT all I see is guilt 👏🏼
I think this all just needs to stop. Regardless of his guilt/innocence, it needs to stop being discussed online. Jess or whoever, if the claims are genuine, need to go about this by going to the police.

Lily Williams the reason he didn’t name the girls or accuse them of lying outright is because they would then be able to sue him for libel and defamation. The police have said that Jess’s messages were of a sexual nature and so she obviously has the proof. He was trying to be clever by denying any legal wrongdoing without accusing the girls of lying. Unfortunately for him he has done nothing but upset many more people with his horrendous act of playing the victim. People haven’t fallen for it though, well except for his diehard ifam groupies.

HOWEVER I take issue with all the ‘creepy Chris Ingham’ videos where he’s targeted for how he interacts with his daughters, all I see in those videos are a man being a normal loving dad. Literally nothing wrong with a dad calling his daughter beautiful or an affectionate nickname. I also agree that all of the nastiness WILL result in bullying etc. against the kids. My heart breaks for them and Sarah.

Firstly, let me make it clear that by no means am I defending Chris. But, it's quite obvious that this video features no mention of the allegations against him or of Jess or the other girls because his legal team will have explicitly told him not to bring it up. Anything he says could and probably would by used against him. Let's be honest, once people like Alfie Deyes starting calling him out for his silence, he had to post something, but it had to be very well thought out so that he could in no way say anything that would fuel the fire or incriminate him further. Don't be under the impression this was Chris' doing, he's as good as reading a script that his lawyers have prepared.

Back in the mid to late 90s, when the Internet was in its infancy, and "social media" was chat rooms and instant messengers... I was a young girl (12 through 16) who 'met'/came across (online) and dealt with many men *very similar* to Chris. ..... They were always easy to spot because they had very little regard for boundaries, and reality.... And they spoke with exaggerated slang and bad grammar as if in an attempt to appeal to young people like myself. Much like Chris' [alleged] comments for these young women (and Jess, a 16 year old girl on vacation with her family) using dramatized slang when suggesting sneaking out and going skinny dipping with him.... To meet without other adults around.... And to accompany him on an out of town trip -- he had NO regard or consideration for how inappropriate such requests were. What kind of parent would allow their 16 year old to accompany a stranger (double their age, no less) on such excersions? What kind of grown man can't wrap his head around this? Did he really expect for such scenarios to manifest? If not, isn't that just as bad? That he had literal fantasies of such? I think that's one of the creepiest factors in all of this..... The fact that he seemed so out of touch with reality. That as a grown man with a wife and kids of his own, he spoke to these young girls in such a juvenile yet inappropriate manner and had no consideration for reality. Like he was in his own la-la-land. It's frightening because it gives you insight into his mental state at the time (... or all the time?). Thankfully, like me back in the day, these young girls (or at least Jess) seemed well aware of the inappropriate nature of such behaviour and language, and did their very best to avoid such shady situations. Telling was the way Jess responded to Chris' comments. She seemed desperate to derail the inappropriate language and remain neutral yet still friendly... Even against his persistence. It was very apparent (to me anyway) how uncomfortable the conversations made her feel... and rightfully so. She knew Chris should not have been speaking to her in the manner he was. I commend Jess for remaining level-headed throughout, as it would have been so easy for her to have gotten carried away with the nature of the conversations and found in a possibly bad situation. (After all, she was a "big fan," right? She could have easily ignored the obvious signs, against her better judgment, merely in an attempt to fulfill her dreams of meeting him.) As for Chris: what bothers me most about his choice reaction to the allegations is his narcissism and manipulation. It seems he has yet to address the many people he has let down and offended..... Nor has he offered any insight into why so many young girls (girls not much older than his own) would be so bent on making such allegations against him. If he wants to protect his innocence, then why isn't he addressing the girls directly and the accusations they've made against him? And, boy, what a way to manipulate the narrative. Sure, I have no doubt onat such a situation IS hard on his family..... But where's the responsibility? Where's the consideration for others affected by this? The thing about her being 16 is that if its online, that doesnt matter. I was involved in a situation online (nothing to do with Chris or any of the inghams) and i had to go to the police. They said to me that what most people dont understand is that even if you're 16 or over 16 and able to give consent, online you stil have to be 18. to send photos and things like that online, you do have to be 18.

My life was forever changed because of my experience and even as a 27 year old adult, my everyday life is still severely affected. If he has done this (and I believe he has by watching Jess' video) then I hope he does loose his business, children involved or not.

Speaking as someone who has been in a similar-ish situation (the victim of sexual abuse), the guy who did it also spun it to act the victim. So Chris’s behaviour just screams ‘guilt’ to me. Ann K No, that is false; whether he did it or not, makes him innocent or guilty! A jury’s decision does NOT mean no crime/incident took place. It’s merely a bunch of people picked out to do jury service, who form an opinion between them, which may not necessarily be a correct one. Hence why so many crimes and criminals go unpunished, and so many victims are left with no justice, and end up with mental illnesses like PTSD, or too afraid to leave their own homes. (Speaking from experience of being a victim, and having done jury service!)

Lily Williams the reason he didn’t name the girls or accuse them of lying outright is because they would then be able to sue him for libel and defamation. The police have said that Jess’s messages were of a sexual nature and so she obviously has the proof. He was trying to be clever by denying any legal wrongdoing without accusing the girls of lying. I believe the allegations made against Chris. Definitely. HOWEVER I take issue with all the ‘creepy Chris Ingham’ videos where he’s targeted for how he interacts with his daughters, all I see in those videos are a man being a normal loving dad. Literally nothing wrong with a dad calling his daughter beautiful or an affectionate nickname. I also agree that all of the nastiness WILL result in bullying etc. against the kids. My heart breaks for them and Sarah.

Their whole UA-cam channel (ingham family) is parasitic, leaching on click bait to get views, so even if smaller youtubers are using the ingham scandal to get views... Then who cares, that's the point of UA-cam.

Firstly, let me make it clear that by no means am I defending Chris. But, it's quite obvious that this video features no mention of the allegations against him or of Jess or the other girls because his legal team will have explicitly told him not to bring it up. Anything he says could and probably would by used against him. Let's be honest, once people like Alfie Deyes starting calling him out for his silence, he had to post something, but it had to be very well thought out so that he could in no way say anything that would fuel the fire or incriminate him further. Don't be under the impression this was Chris' doing, he's as good as reading a script that his lawyers have prepared.

His video utterly shocked me, never addressing the allegations against him and instead decided to play the victim card and shift the blame to the backlash he is getting was just totally wrong! He should have addressed HIS acts, and provided proof as to why we should believe him and not Jess and the other girls. If a man of that age was messaging my 16 year old I would be furious. Legal or not it’s WRONG. Without other youtubers bringing this to light he would get away from it. Keep the word going. This can not be forgotten. He will do it again. He has a problem.
I hate him so much omg. I tried so hard to stay impartial and to not jump on the bandwagon on the off chance that this was all a big lie but I cant anymore.
He’s vile. He said that he’s worried the stress would cause Sarah to have a miscarriage when unfortunately miscarriages are very common during early pregnancy so there is a chance of that anyway. God forbid anything did happen to that baby, he’s said this because he knows his “Ifam” would go for Jess and the others who have spoke out. It’s emotional manipulation at its finest. And if he can do it so blatantly in a video I can only imagine what he’s like behind his phone screen.

It is absolutely disgusting how this man is still allowed to have a channel on UA-cam. Bringing his children into it is low he is the one has done this to his family. His video sounded scripted and looks very edited.

Rebecca Tully Same. I have been a fan of theirs for ages and his video does seem genuine however there is so many videos like this and I just don’t know what to think. Mayb he’s just manipulative? I just don’t know what to think anymore. I was originally against him but nobody deserves to be threatened to be killed in their own home etc.
Lucy U sme here I’ve been a fan since there Christmas 2016 video but I feel like jess proof looks real and it’s really hard to fakes that and why would you fake it anyway cause everyone will just hate her. I think in his video he should of shown proof that the allegations are fake instead of just saying poor me. Back in the mid to late 90s, when the Internet was in its infancy, and "social media" was chat rooms and instant messengers... I was a young girl (12 through 16) who 'met'/came across (online) and dealt with many men *very similar* to Chris.
..... They were always easy to spot because they had very little regard for boundaries, and reality.... And they spoke with exaggerated slang and bad grammar as if in an attempt to appeal to young people like myself.
Much like Chris' [alleged] comments for these young women (and Jess, a 16 year old girl on vacation with her family) using dramatized slang when suggesting sneaking out and going skinny dipping with him.... To meet without other adults around.... And to accompany him on an out of town trip -- he had NO regard or consideration for how inappropriate such requests were.
What kind of parent would allow their 16 year old to accompany a stranger (double their age, no less) on such excersions? What kind of grown man can't wrap his head around this? Did he really expect for such scenarios to manifest?
If not, isn't that just as bad? That he had literal fantasies of such?
I think that's one of the creepiest factors in all of this..... The fact that he seemed so out of touch with reality. That as a grown man with a wife and kids of his own, he spoke to these young girls in such a juvenile yet inappropriate manner and had no consideration for reality. Like he was in his own la-la-land.
It's frightening because it gives you insight into his mental state at the time (... or all the time?).
Thankfully, like me back in the day, these young girls (or at least Jess) seemed well aware of the inappropriate nature of such behaviour and language, and did their very best to avoid such shady situations.
Telling was the way Jess responded to Chris' comments. She seemed desperate to derail the inappropriate language and remain neutral yet still friendly... Even against his persistence.
It was very apparent (to me anyway) how uncomfortable the conversations made her feel... and rightfully so. She knew Chris should not have been speaking to her in the manner he was.
I commend Jess for remaining level-headed throughout, as it would have been so easy for her to have gotten carried away with the nature of the conversations and found in a possibly bad situation. (After all, she was a "big fan," right? She could have easily ignored the obvious signs, against her better judgment, merely in an attempt to fulfill her dreams of meeting him.)
As for Chris: what bothers me most about his choice reaction to the allegations is his narcissism and manipulation.
It seems he has yet to address the many people he has let down and offended..... Nor has he offered any insight into why so many young girls (girls not much older than his own) would be so bent on making such allegations against him.
If he wants to protect his innocence, then why isn't he addressing the girls directly and the accusations they've made against him?
And, boy, what a way to manipulate the narrative.
Sure, I have no doubt onat such a situation IS hard on his family..... But where's the responsibility? Where's the consideration for others affected by this?
Sorry, but in my opinion, an innocent person wouldn't spend their time guiding the direction of the narrative and centering it around just themself.
Chris has some serious 'splainin' to do...... And the truth will come out.

I completely agree!! It was definitely about ‘how big his and the family’s channel is’ etc etc. Also, he looks to be ‘smiling’ a lot!!! And, if this was a genuine ‘apology’ video or even an explanation video, why all the heavy editing?? He literally says one sentence and CUT; another sentence and CUT!!!

The thing about her being 16 is that if its online, that doesnt matter. I was involved in a situation online (nothing to do with Chris or any of the inghams) and i had to go to the police. They said to me that what most people dont understand is that even if you're 16 or over 16 and able to give consent, online you stil have to be 18. to send photos and things like that online, you do have to be 18.

Should he have to apologise or talk about the girls if he hasn't done it? Why should he acknowledged them and the pictures can easily be edited it's not difficult to DR a fake Snapchat picture so until physical evidence comes out What's 100% proof then everyone should back off in my opinion

Well said young lady. I'm 57 and I use to follow the ighnams but not anymore. UA-cam needs to take him off until chris tells the truth! !! Money and fame was just too much for them to handle. And soon they will be bk to where they started with nothing much as I dought he will ever get a job again. I do feel for his children they have a long road ahead of them especially when bk to school.
