Susanne, I think you do some of the finest seamstresssing, explaining clearly and concisely what you are doing. I can't think of a project that you've shown us that I haven't thought was just absolutely exquisite. I love everything about your videos, expertise and you are also a beautiful woman to boot!! Thank you for sharing with us! Well done!!! (ALWAYS)
Your skirt is superb.I attended a course by Terry Fox some years ago and she advocated interlining with silk organza to help prevent that type of fabric seating, and it is a means of concealing any stitch work which might normally appear on the main garment. It is an extra step and silk organza is expensive but on a garment like your beautiful skirt it is worth it.Thank you for your excellent video.
Suzanne, you have outdone yourself with the detailing on this skirt! And the way you attached the lining to the waistband is a game changer! Bravo! ❤️🇨🇦
I love that skirt! The trim looks like eyelashes, soo cute! Thats your favourite super fine sewing needle, isn’t it. I can tell by how bent up it is 🧵😘
Once you have a basic pattern shape that you know is your sizeyou can shape it and adjust it for almost any variation. Suzanne makes all her own patterns that she embellishes
This is classy ! You are so brilliant at what you do. Could I ask what type of lining you used it looks beautiful quality? Also I am new to using a over-locker could I ask roughly what settings you used when overlocking the lining and whether you used 3 or 4 threads. Thank you.
Hi Susan, I wanted to thank you for all the work you are doing to show us your makes, incredible make, love that skirt! What kind of interfacing are you using for this fabric? Again, fantastic skirt, it is amazing, you look wonderful! Have a wonderful day! Christine 🇨🇦
2 Dear Suzanne, you are a great teacher, I am looking for a pattern as I am not so skilled to create it by myself, could you please give me some tips? I would be so grateful, as I intend to sew my skirt this weekend. Kindest regards.
Susanne loved the detailed skirt, are you planning on a matching jacket? I watched a Hallmark movie the other day and the actress had on such a beautiful light pink thin wool jacket with what I guess they call an inverted collar. There is a light pink jacket with an inverted collar in the Boden catalog which is gorgeous. It is a little short compared to the one in the movie but would love to try making a jacket with that type of collar. Hopefully maybe you can make one and show us in the future. Have a blessed Easter!
Hi Suzanne, I love your tutorials on UA-cam. I tried accessing instagram but my request is still pending. I wanted to see the inspiration for the Chanel skirt. Thanks, Nancy
i held my breath the entire zip installation. so glad you did not sew your finger. i like to use the flat side of an orange stick or the non-point end of a bamboo skewer. these are some of the cheapest and long lasting sewing aides. another BEAUTIFUL project! where do you wear all of these stunning pieces?
Came to UA-cam because I bought some houndstooth and want that bougie Chanel look for a skirt, this video was the only one! Yay!
Brilliant craftsmanship!
Lovely blouse, very useful techniques! Thank you
Your pure genius really enjoyed it
I so enjoy your video's. Thank you for them. 🙌
Stunning finish

Your an absolute pleasure to watch. Thank you so much
Love this
I especially liked the pocket details and that you did some hand finishing. That really adds to the quality.
Suzanne, you have outdone yourself with the detailing on this skirt! And the way you attached the lining to the waistband is a game changer! Bravo! ❤️🇨🇦
Very nice skirt and instructions.
What a wonderful design! Your fabric and design details--the mock placket and the pocket trim--makes this a magnificent wardrobe staple. Love it!
i would miss having pockets. i find my cell & keys days later, in the strangest of places, when i wear something without pockets.
That is absolutely gorgeous
So adorable!
Yes, I love Chanel. Thank you Susanne. You look stunning.
Your finishing is an inspiration. The way you did your zip and waistband is very clever and one I'm going to copy. Thank you.

Stunning 🥰
Beautiful!
Bella, gracias por los detalles
What a lovely dress and how professional you are - it's amazing. I was surprised though that you did not try it on at any stage of making it.
Once you have a basic pattern shape that you know is your sizeyou can shape it and adjust it for almost any variation. Suzanne makes all her own patterns that she embellishes
This is an exceptionally beautiful skirt. you do an excellent job . I hope you purchased extra fabric for a little cropped jacket😉💕
Great idea!

Thank you for the video! It's amazing!
Could you also machine stitch the lining to the skirt instead of hand sewing? Thanks!
💜💜💜💜🇦🇺 Fantastic
Love this. Did you shorten the length of the zip later? I noticed it was longer than the zip opening!
I love the bias that you use , do you have video about how to make that bias ribbon? Thank you very much
Hi love your video but how do you use the pockets ?
Hi Suzanne, I love your tutorials on UA-cam. I tried accessing instagram but my request is still pending. I wanted to see the inspiration for the Chanel skirt. Thanks,
Nancy
Your are amazing.
I love the detailing on this skirt. Please can you make a little tutorial in your instagram how do you do the two tone bies.
I agree.
Thankyou, Suzanne. I love this skirt. Is it your standard skirt pattern?
You are so good at details! Did you leave the zipper long, or did you trim off the bottom of it? (Others may answer this if I missed it in the video.)
😍😍😍👍👍👍🌹

Would you be able to do a sewing room tour?
Another enjoyable video with a great outcome. Are you a teacher in your other life?
How do you avoid the waistband being too straight? How do you get it to taper in?
What happened to the accompanying pattern drafting videos. I almost like those more!
I refuel the belt, and you? So that he has the form.
