- Today I want to show you how to make Chanel trim for a jacket or dress.
Today we'll show you how to make a trim out of Chanel-style fabric. We'll show you the technoque we came up with in my fashion house.
Svetlana will help me today.
Notice that I'm wearing the coral dress. I've showed you a tutorial on how to make it not long time ago.
There are different ways to decorate trims - you can attach pearls, bugles, gold or silver chains with chiffon stripes in them.
Today we’ll just show you how to make the trim itself.
If you are planning to make items with trims, you need to buy at least 0,5m of fabric for it. You can decorate bottom, center front, neckline, sleeves, flaps, and so on.
Cut 2 stripes of fabric on a bias and attach them to each other face up. Don’t stretch fabric when tacking and stitching.
I remind you that you can attach some pearls or bangles to decorate the trim. They will look very beautiful. Chains also look very good. We’ll show you how to make trims with them.
When you stitch the 2 stripes together, you can continue working. This process requires being very patient. Put a detail on a table, and use a seam ripper to make raw edges. Work with the first layer, and then with the 2nd one.
You can stitch not 2, but 3 stripes together. In this case your trim will look almost like a fur one.
We show you a lot techniques which we come up with in my fashion house.
If you make a Chanel-style jacket or a dress, make such trims, and decorate at least neckline and flaps. An item will look amazing.
The trim looks very beautiful. It’s up to you whether to make it wider or narrow, whether to stitch 2 or 3 stripes together.
When the trim is ready, you need to use scissors to make the edges even.
You attach such trim to an item either by stitching it with a sewing machine or by hands.
Chanel is always a safe choice! It’s never out of fashion.

Unbelievable how easy this is to add pop to anything! I’m hooked!
I LOVE this tutorial--thank you! I was going to pay like $50 for store-bought trim in New York City to add to my Chanel inspired tweed suit. I never thought about cutting the strips on the BIAS--great idea. I look forward to seeing your other tutorials. Thank you! Are you in Russia? Wonder story, and you are NOT to old to get married!! Never too old. You are beautiful.

Very nice dear but where to get fabric like this
When would the 10 measurements method for drafting be available.
Love the video, question: where do you get your fabric from?
The lady lives in Russia. She has a beautiful salon of individual tailoring. There are many fabric stores in Russia. You can buy luxury Italian fabrics. Welcome to Russia :)
Please what fabric was used for this trim? Thanks.
Nana Danso boucle or tweed. Or ask for Chanel type fabrics.
