Was the recording of this edition with talkback kept because it was such a shambles? lol. was there an enquiry into why there were so many problems? Having sat in the gallery during news i know its alway pretty manic but this is baaaad! lol

This is necessary so that they know what's going on without having to be spoken to directly. I've worked on BBC and ITV regional news and a rabble like that over talkback is very common. In such situations, you have to take your own cues because the director is preoccupied with pulling the programme together.

Back then, when Fingerbobs was finished I'd go out into the back garden and put a Smarties lid on a spider's web and then I'd get a slug and put it on the lid. Then I'd wonder why the spider wasn't interested.

Quantel was the name of the computer. I don't know why they used Charisma in other shows.
