Hello, interesting, when I have hard to clean areas I use canned air as it blows the cleaner where I want and I can blow away dust that's hard to get to.
Thanks for great video. These cheaper retro boombox's are back in fashion again so goes to show everything comes full circle. I am still fixing and selling VCR's and the prices online generally keep going up.
I've had a few VCRs lately that just work, give them a quick clean and out they go. But they are getting harder to find now. Are you in the UK? I've seen prices dropping here. Edit obviously you are if you know about Screwfix.
@@RetroElectronicRepair Yes I am in Chester, Cheshire. Buy and sell most of mine through facebook marketplace and usually sell them on with the cheap usb video converter sticks. Hopefully car boots will be back up and running again next year.
hi i have the same radio and was cleaning battery corrosion from it (not very successfully), and the radio started leaking some sort of yellow/brown fluid on the bottom where the two halves meet. do you maybe know what the fluid could be? i haven't unscrewed and opened it yet cause I'm scared i might break something..
It sounds like it's the battery acid still inside the machine from where the battery leaked. You would need to open it to clean all that out or it could do more damage to the circuit board.
Two uploads in two days Lee...you know you have to keep this up now...no excuses 😁
I think that may be hard 😃
