Great November way to go🎉 Transfer $300 + $72 to HYSA extra $72 was from selling a few items $100 to ROTH😊 Thank you for the shout out. Great job everyone
Great that you came to a choice that you feel good with. That is most important. Amazing transfers! I would include the IRA amount in your budget if you feel like you have the room, would probably feel so great to reach that goal as well. Well done everyone with your transfers. For us this week we are between salary payments, so only had transfers from change € 3,93 to vacation. The windows will be replaced in May or June, so goal is to have all the funds by April.
@@SaraBudgetOrganized...ish... You should feel more comfortable on less energy use! Do consider proper drapery rods next; one room at a time works. Or at least a serious dowl rod type; ideally above the window but also with enough room for some type of diy box valance above. You can always choose to hang a sheer on a serious rod but you can't hang a drapery on a cafe curtain rod.
@ thanks, but we sadly knew when buying this house that the window frames are way past the point of salvation. They need to be replaced and we would rather do that sooner rather than later, especially since we had the roof leak last year where we needed to replace the whole roof. We already have great drapes that are insulating, so we are comfortable. Problem is just slightly more drastic for the house, if we don't replace them our house insurance etc won't be valid anymore (EU not US).
@@SaraBudgetOrganized...ish... I mentioned drapes et al because it seems that many in the US think that window replacement is the end all. Or, that the somewhat translucent, plastic mini blinds are the window dressing needed. My suggestion was intended for after the windows were replaced. - You already have the drapery concepts down. This said, one particular cold snap we hung a fluffy-ish, polyester batting filled comforter/ bed spread over a rod spanning a sliding glass door (and the hsnging drape). That comforter did wonders for keeping things warmer even if the decor became bedroom floral until the fold snap was over.
Oh gosh! I just filmed my December budget video today (had to do it early this time) and forgot to set aside the money for my IRA 😩 I don’t even think I gave myself enough spending money for it either, but it’s ok. If I have to, I’ll take it from my Christmas gifts because we are hitting that goal! 😂 That’s great that you still have a few more months to save for the windows! I hope you can get it all in time 🤞🏼
Transfer update of my own. Last paycheck I officially fully funded my Japan Trip for next year! Until the end of the year any money that was going towards it will now be going towards my Emergency Fund to hit 10k before the year is over.
Great transfers! Excited to see that Highlander going down! It’s so nice to have that extra going to sofi. It will be incredible to have that money back every month!
Yessss!!! I'm paying off my Highlander toooooo!!! I bought a used 2018 in 2022. Balance left: ~$20,000. Hope to pay it off by July 2025!!! Gonna be following your journey while we pay off debt together 😊❤
Glad you got the dryer situation figured out! I sent $310 to my Roth this week, I’m trying to make a last minute push into this account as I kind of neglected it this year.
I stayed out of it but I agree the dryer should come out of the household maintenance money. You can choose going foreward on a short term basis whether to put emphasis on replenishing the dryer money in household maintenance or general bulking of the emergency fund. For myself, I would put emphasis on replenishment despite which fund it came from followed by a reassessment of the future path beyond replenishment. For that, i recommend a purpose statement whether it is in a short lisit form or a mini-thesis taking up a few pages; for each fund. The purpose statement is just a different facet of the "why" so many different folks talk of. This why or purpose can change with life and dollar accumulations too. Once you've clarified what you want each to cover, then you can more purposefullyput funds in each. Be realistic 'cause reality is if the roof starts leaking tomorrow the money is going to be coming from the emergency fund despite what the purpose statements read.
I do love what you’ve suggested about making a purpose for each fund and a list for what it’s “allowed” to cover. I have a general idea in my head, but it would probably be good to put it in writing so I really stick to it. Thanks, Terry!
Thank you, Stef! We really have! I'm trying not to push too hard right now and just enjoy the holidays since we've already kicked so much debt butt this year, haha :)
How wonderful that the income stream, the budget, and the spending streams are running smooth enough that budgeted but forgotten a $935 autodraft doesn't even cause a change in breathing pattern!
Do put the $200 IRA money the December budget and transfer it sooner rather than later. It is a good practice but it also provides a bit of a paper trail despite what else or where else you take the money from. Two, maybe 5, years from now when you're wondering how you got things done these past few years paper trails can be nice to have.
$113 extra to the car loan and working on cash flowing christmas (i tried out a combined gifts/christmas sinking fund this year and it did not workout for me)
Couple of thoughts. First, if you ever are thinking of another side hustle, I would suggest you first take an online QuickBooks course, and then offer your services to small businesses for doing their book keeping. (Not accountant, but helping organize their accounts.). You told me before you like this stuff, and I think you would be really good at it. Of course, as I have told you before, I think you could substantially grow your channel, and that may be something you would rather do. Next, so you know, it I teunless I have some major comment on your transactions, I probably wont comment on the video. (Do you get increase something from UA-cam, based on comments? IF so, let us know and I will comment away). FInally, what did you do to celebrate the loan completion?
That’s a great idea for a side hustle! I will look into it, Jon. Thank you for the idea! ☺️ Hopefully the channel will grow over time. It has been steadily increasing, but we’ll see! Oh and comments don help! Not with the income but with the “reach.”

You are on a roll with selling things! And it's making a big difference in your transfers! Great job, Cat :)

A bank in hollywood financed my used jeep. It took me 3 calls just to get my account #. So juiced to makes payments on it. Next Tuesday indeed.
That’s frustrating! Can you do everything online now with the account number? I hope so! I’m glad you are pumped to start payments 🙌🏼

That's true! I will look back at my budgets and think I didn't invest since I have been taking it out of my personal money.
Thanks for sharing Katie!🌺🌸💖

Awesome job on your car loan! I hope you can cash flow Christmas! It definitely can be hard to combine funds 😫
