I am overjoyed about this. The battery pack will be a service saver! I live in a hilly, tree laden area snd power outages are a thing.
We are so happy to hear that this will be a service saver for you! 😃
What is the wattage of the Dot Mini? Does it fully cure thicker and more darker pigmented gels?
Hi Lela, the MiniDOT is a 5-watt light. The wattage is not a measurement of how well it will cure gels but how much electricity the light will consume. The MiniDOT will cure all of our gels very well and quite thickly but how this depends upon the gel formulation. The key thing to successfully using any gel system in regards to curing is making sure that you apply the gel thinner than the maximum cure thickness of a specific gel in the lamp that you desire to use. Yes, it will fully cure thicker and darker pigmented gels.
I was thinking about getting a new lamp because the buttons on top of mine are starting to stick. Might be time to upgrade my lamp and have a backup.
Love it!!!
We're so glad you love the new MiniDot!🙂
Does the mini dot cure all LE gel products?
Great video I can't wait to get mine! If I have to replace the cord, can I buy a longer one (3 metres) and it won't affect the intensity of the lamp?
We're so glad to know you love it! You can absolutely use a longer cord if needed!
Hi. I have 1 of the mini. But I am not sure if it cures polygel thoroughly
Does not having a reflective plate make any difference?
Does the mini also cure builder gel?
Yes! The LED MiniDot cures LED gels in 1 minute (Please note, it will not cure UV only gels)
Love that it’s sort-of cordless!
It isn't cordless but you can attach it to a battery with a cord.
Awesome!
How were the samples prepared? And were they deemed equal before curing?
The samples were applied to the forms and cured then measured. I am not sure what you are asking about "deemed equal". The longer wavelength of the LEDdot mini gives a deeper cure
@@jimmcconnell6079 Thanks for the reply. Don't the samples have to be the same thickness or amount to start for a like comparison? You compared them after curing and found a "difference of 10%". But if you incidentally put twice as much product on one sample, wouldn't the "difference" be skewed? I'm trying to figure out how thickness after curing demonstrates ability of the lamp.
@@LaurenW888I had the same question. How does the thickness of the cured product indicate the depth of the cure. If I apply the gel thick or thin would play a role.
Does it cure UV only gels?
No! It only cures gels formulated to cure in 395-405 nm (LED) wavelengths.
What about heat spikes in the mini
The Mini doesn't have a hand sensor, so you can turn it on, put the hand in for 2 seconds and remove it for 5 seconds before the heat spike. Repeat this process 3 times or so and the client shouldn't feel the heat.
@@jimmcconnell6079 Thank you
What a great review Jim 🙌
