Testing the new T-Motor AM30 in my EDGE 580 PRO!

I bought the T-Motor AM30 to save few grams on my blue RC Factory / Twisted Hobbys Edge 580 PRO. Compared to the AM40 I used over the past year or so the lighter AM30 lacks a bit of kick with 5 gram T-Motor plastic propeller however the lighter carbon prop or MPX plastic 4D propellers make the AM30 my favourite 4D setup so far. I run original T-Motor ESC and 2s 350mAh Hacker Topfuel batteries.

Transmitter: JETI DS-12
Rx: JETI R7Nano
Motor: AM30 2250KV
ESC: TMotor F3P BPP-4D 16A
Prop: TMotor 8,5x4,2 4D / TMotor carbon 8" / MPX 8,5x4 4D
Servos: Gening D90, Gening D541, PelikanDaniel GO-06MG
Battery: 2s Hacker Topfuel 350mAh

Can we do 4d flight with crack yak 55 superlite epp plane?weight around 160g to 170g.

I would go with 3s setup there and it will not be "Donatas Pauzuolis level of power to weight ratio" but for some basic 3D sure it will work!

Hi Jan please help. I have a AM40 combo for my inverza 280 plane. Is this good or will the AM30 be better?

Sorry for late reply. I am afraid AM30 may not be powerfull enough for Inverza, i would recommend it for 135g planes or lighter.

Hello Jan, what is your RTF weight with this setup?

Hi Jan, I think it is around 140g with Tmotor Carbon prop and around 143g with the Multiplex or Tmotor plastic black props. Not sure exactly and I dont have the plane with me now. Do you need more precise measurement or is this good enough?
