Would you please consider bringing back Traditional Tuesdays? There have been some really amazing releases recently and there are more stunners on the horizon. There are few better at talking about traditional knives than you.
I agree. There's something so beautiful and so well built about the traditional knives. I used to have a Barlow collection consisting of 100 knives. But, as my knifing has moved from a display collection to a rotation of EDC using knives, the "modern" knives afford me one-handed opening, closing, and a pocket clip. I still love the traditionals but I don't carry them. I am, however, VERY interested in picking up a Case Copperhead some day. Again, brother, thanks for this video. God bless you.
I do have a small Case TB sway back jack in gorgeous chestnut jigged bone. Until now I thought it was just perfect but after you mentioned it, you bad man, I have noticed the small flaws. This shows how much we are being spoiled by these new comers like GEC! Of course, there's also a price difference.
Case does have one thing they do better than GEC... the transistions between bolsters and covers are almost aways seamless on a Case -- not so with GEC's.
The #47 Viper is coming out again Feb. 2016. Can't wait for the new green bottle glass jigged bone by Tidioute. Also, the smooth black bone SFO for Derrick Bohn will look great, with a dark patina.
I really like the looks of that, but I wonder how many people, not really paying attention, would hold it upside down, sharp side up, before realizing it :) It's almost as nice as my awesome Parker Edwards Damascus Stag Trapper :)
That is a real beauty... too bad I hate wharnies... NOT!!!! :) You're gonna talk me into a traditional wharnie yet aren't you? I was just over at KSF looking at the #61 with both the wharnie and what looks to be a coping blade. Hmm.....:)
Its cool to watch a vid on the same knife that i have fallen in love with and hear that i am not the only one that feels this way. At first, I wasnt sure how i felt about it, but after i have used it for a little.....I cant leave the house without it. I actually didnt carry it the other day, and felt naked without it, haha. I have alot of knives with sentimental value, but my Viper has become my favorite knife in my collection. I couldnt tell from the video or not, but is yours serialized?
I would love to own one myself but just haven't gotten any resources on them. I guess what I'm saying is if there's a direction you can point me in to owning one ?
Contact Knivesshipfree.com, Derrick Bohen has a really nice selection of traditional folders. And, he carries the GEC brand along with an outstanding selection of other makers.

Here in Europe known as the Otter Weber workknife :-) That Viper is beautiful! Wish I could afford it.

And you saw well, brother .)
Just pulled the trigger on on one tonight. Smooth ivory bone.
2020 Viper #47 run is next. 275 pieces of each choice --- brown burlap micarta - black plum jigged bone - Arizona ironwood --- sambar stag
I have a black plum jigged bone #47 Viper on the way.
That's a gorgeous knife. Personally, I wish it had a long pull. None the less, a great score. Congrats!
You don't even need a nick. It's very pinch-able.
Excellent "Big Screen" presentation. You really made a "youtube star" out of this VERY sweet knife. Congrats!!! (.....I told ya, LOL.) ;-)
Beautiful knife and another great video. God Bless and look forward to more on these classics.

That baby reaches on out there : ) Well done GEC and nice new blade buddy.
Oh, that's a beauty! I'm afraid I have to order another Sway Back design knife right away! ;)

Great looking knife!

It is not... I've just never seen the value in that. I could be missing the boat though...
when i bought mine, thats all that was available, so it just happened that way by chance, i dont normally go looking for them either

OK THEN, THANK'S FOR THE HELP I'LL CHECK THEM OUT ASAP BECAUSE I FEEL A LITTLE LEFT OUT NOT OWNING ONE.
You may be able to find them on the secondary market.
Nice...
I just cringe when somebody just lets the blade slam shut
