- Here we are at the allotment. I've wanted a compost tumbler fir years as they are supposed to make compost in WEEKS rather than YEARS ( or many many months)
Anyhoo I did eventually get one from a customer but didn't get around to using it....When I finally used it....this is what I found in it....

I always wondered if those actually worked. Thanks, Lee! Enjoy tidying up your allotment, it looks like a wonderful spot!
👌👌😊
Oh noooo your greenhouse... thanks for sharing about compost tumbler, good to know😃
The pains have blown out a few times but this time a few have broke 😪
Now add worm farming to the repertoire and you can join the rest of the worm farming youtubers :p
😅😅 I don't need anymore hobbies 🙈
Hi Lee, I have the same problem with my plot being a gardener too, Ive started last year putting lots of the chippings down from the chipper, keeps things under control and means i dont have to keep doing so much weeding. Ive built two large bay compost bins from old doors these are wrapped in black dpm plastic so last years , I chip some stuff into the compost so end up with loads of compost each year now. All best Will 😊
Sounds good buddy...👌👌
Was wondering how your allotment was doing! Looking forward to videos! 😊🤩👍
Hopefully get it sorted soon 🤞🤞
I would like to see the updates, if there are any. I hope you are going to empty some of the piles of compost into raised beds before building new bins. I made 2 compost bins out of an old bike shed and they are still going strong. I also make compost in old compost bags. As long as you keep them dark and warm (in the sun) they will make good compost fairly quickly. I bag up my compost and use throughout the year. Good for mulching etc. 😄
Ooh I do love a bit of compost 👍
@@LHLgardenservices I do too. We wouldn't have plants or food without it!
All the best Lee; with getting the allotment squared up. You’ve had a great deal of work on and must be difficult, to devote time to your allotment. Take care and look forward to further updates 👍👍👍
Yes...what with work....and all my hobbies...the wheel.. magnet fishing....metal detecting....oh and the ABARTH ....there is no time 😬
That’s a lorra, lorra work! Hope we get to see the (amazing, by comparison) transformation, visit by visit. Please.
I need a you tube party....all come to the allotment for a work day followed by bbq 😊
@@LHLgardenservices. Bagsy the shredder! 👊🏼😂🫣
I've been a keen compost builder over the years but I've not tried a tumbler - I've always manually turned the heaps. Looking forward to the video of your allotment transformation!
Yes these are supposed to make compost in a matter of weeks if you turn regularly...I bet it would too 👌👌👌
I nearly had A turn when I saw It LOL...Never tell anyone you been on the turn all week....Fingers crossed you find your greenhouse panes
😅...found most...some are broke 🤷♂️
Some of the best acorn squash we got was from volunteer plants in our compost pile.
👌👌it's the best
Always wondered if they work, those greenhouses plastic panels need silicone and clips
These had both mate...that wind has been horrible lately 😕
OI!!!!!! where are the curly wurly's your were growing, I was hoping for some of those!!! lol... I have a cheap one of amazon, but its too small, ideal if you put veg in there and what have you, but I use it for grass, and it takes a year to get a bucket of semi compost
😅😅 there were hundreds ....but I'm afraid I've eaten them...anyway...not good for your tum 😉
@@LHLgardenservices lol, its flat now.
@@TKG 😅 won't be with half a dozen curly wurlys 😅
Do you practice no dig at the allotment?
