Second request: Can you do two videos (Under the heading of cost of living 'crisis') on hints and tips for existing central heating systems as well as considerations for those (like me) who will be getting a plumber to install a new boiler and some new radiators?
We're glad you found the video useful. This is likely to vary from case to case, therefore, we would advice contacting a professional plumber who will be able to comment on your specific requirements.
Great video. I’ve been looking at that flat panel horizontal radiator (bottom one) on your website in white. Do you know if its a matt white or gloss finish?

Hi, we would always suggest consulting the installation instructions for individual radiators as they may differ between products. If in doubt we advise contacting a professional who would be able to help with your specific circumstances.
Hi James. I'm completely lost with these online BTU calculators as I cannot find any that work. None I've found seem to consider EWI or rooms with PIR board on the outside walls and ceilings. Also, 150mm full-filled cavities aren't even considered separate to old 50mm insulated cavities.... they are all bunched up under the same category. I'm looking to fit these myself but I need to buy the right radiators.... help!
Hi, thank you for getting in touch. Please see our online heating calculator here - www.plumbworld.co.uk/heating-calculator. However, if you are still unsure of the correct type of radiator for your needs, we suggest contacting a professional installer who will be able to help you with your specific needs.
found out i was lucky i got 20% higher output rads as BTU is now 25% less than most company's advertise rads are t50 15 years ago they used to be t70 so a t70 rad with 5000 btu was 5000 btu a t50 rad with 5000 btu is 3750 btu don't forget to look this up and if you have a cold room with a new boiler this might be the reason.
May i know how do you deliver item to the customer? Because I have the similar radiator and need to deliver to one of my relative. its weight 45 KG and no corrier take to deliver that radiaotors ?
Hi, thank you for your query. Unfortunately, we can't comment on your exact issue and we would always recommend finding a local tradesman to take a look before making any purchases. If it is a case of just providing additional heating to your downstairs then higher BTU radiators or underfloor heating are great solutions. Underfloor heating is perfect for warming rooms from the floor up, and fitting it with the right insulation will ensure heat is sent in the right direction.
Great review as usual James, I was looking buy a Ximax 1800x600 from S Fix but saw this video and you guys have a Duratherm which is better priced! 😊 quick question…I have this being installed on hollow wall in the kitchen so think single rad might be better than the dual as it’s twice the weight at nearly 50kg! Is there much more output in the dual (I guess it’s twice the capacity logically) I’m just concerned about the weight more than anything. Output seems ok on this one too. Cheers Jamie
Thank you for your message, Jamie. For double panel radiators, we would advise a solid wall installation, unless you also purchase the legs to also mount them on. The output will vary depending on style but for example, an 1800x600mm oval tube radiator would kick out approximately 7800BTU (@delta 50) and a single would do approximately 4000BTU (@delta 50). If you are unsure at all we would suggest getting advice from a qualified heating professional as projects will vary from one to another. Best, Plumbworld Marketing Team
I have one of these radiators fitted recently in my identify plan kitchen everytime I open my sink in bathroom downstairs and slide it a few seconds later if u go next to the radiator it makes a bubbles water noise fir a few seconds. This is the same if I open and close my sink in kitchen. I've had a new boiler installed a week ago. Anyone know what cud be the reason if of my issue and a solution please. This radiator was purchased from plumbworld
Mounting a radiant heater next to a refrigerator is a bit ironic. A reflective barrier on that side of the fridge might be worthwhile. (Perhaps that's what the pin-board is. Hard to tell.)

great video! wanting to switch from steel to aluminium radiators, but I cannot find the same size. Is using elbows possible to avoid moving the tubes?

I wonder if the honeybee heating element would clog up faster than a traditional element?

Great video, do you have a discount code?
Unfortunately we don't have any discount codes for our radiators at the moment. Keep an eye out on our website for any in the future.
With the dual heat element how many watts does it pull ? Could you power it via solar ?
Please could you advise which part of the video you are referring to?
@@plumbworldYT The elements at around 13.20 mark.

How do I know size of the radiator to the room
This would require working out the BTU. Some handy info on this can be found at 15mins 20secs in this video.
I was led to believe that vertical radiators do not produce BTUs as effectively as horizontal rads', Is this an old wives tale?
You are correct but this is an advert.
If you want something nice on the wall, buy a piece of art, if you want to heat your room efficiently, buy a radiator
Cast aluminium rads keep those receipts they do leak porous poor welding they fail once the coatings give months later sneaky!
