I love it. This changes the way I'll look @ buying signed books from here on out, AND I can now send in books I already own that I thought would never be in a CGC slab.
Jeff almost has enough iPhone apparatus. Need the complete package, arm brace, pull lever, clearance radius scan printer, full coverage insurance for arm brace apparatus. And accompanying hat showing apparatus and designer signature from apparatus designer😂😛
CGC will now also verify the authenticity of said designer's signature for a small fee! Let's not forget that for another small monetary addition they can also arbitrarily deicide if they like the way said designer autographed it and assign a grade to that in addition.
Now I can resubmit my Action 48 signed by the great Fred Ray! The label already notes "Frederick Ray Jr. and salutation on 25th page" which means CGC felt it was authentic to begin with.
Cmon man CBCS has been doing this for awhile. As an older collector I always hated the witness thing. Collectors have been getting books signed since wayyyy before CGC. Let’s not act like they’re doing us a favor. Between this and 9.9 grades it’s clear CGC is trying to make up for all the bad press. Integrity and honesty people - let’s have some
I’m not one to comment on videos, but I’ll take this opportunity with these two big influencers in the comic book industry. I took a twenty year sabbatical from collecting-before grading companies were established. When returning I see that comics have evolved into a different class, and I look into “grading”. When comparing the companies out there I didn’t understand how CGC with all its controversy, and lack of customer care still remained. CBCS has always put its customers first, and offered everything the CGC didn’t or wanted more capital for. I believe people have always understood that CBCS is the better option, and I believe soon CBCS will not be paralleled to CGC. I believe they’ll surpass, and I’ll be doing business with them to help that happen. Stay Golden & Keep Kollecting
Holy shiz! When CGC does this it going to be great. I’ve waited a long time to get my triple threat signature holy grail book get the respect it deserves. I’m definitely for it!
I welcome this and probably will be using this service. I have some books that are signed with a COA that I would love to get graded along with a few others that I got personally signed for my pc.
It's a positive for cgc finally something positive with all the negative stuff recently I still think the books that are sent in that are signed that are authenticated will not be worth as much as the witnessed as you know for sure that it was signed by the artist books that are sent in that are said to be signed their can always be the possibility of fraud so the Stan Lee book that was witnessed we'll go for more money I feel than the one that's verified which is fine buyers now have the option between the two a win-win either way
CGC moving the goalposts to make more cash, just like this 9.9 pre screen, the only difference is signature verification is a plus for collectors who can finally have their signed books get that yellow label, but once 9.9’s flood the market, all those 9.8’s, will be worth a third of current value, not to mention, totally disrupting the census (again)
When I received the email from CGC about this...I thought awesome. Still do. I am thinking about how it will work on a tier level. For example...now...if possible, you could get multi ...and I mean multi signatures on one book without CGC having to crack it open after each submission. Could you get 5 sigs on one book? 10? 30? AND THENNNNN SEND IT IN for encapsulatin. Are they tier pricing per sig ? I am curious about that. This is 💯 a game changer with JSA added and might possibly be a HUGE financial hit to CBCS
I have so many signed books that I thought I can never bring up the value unless I keep the book for decades in mint condition in a cool dark place or until the author or the artist dies. Now I can do both plus get it slabbed without a nasty looking green label.
Being I'm almost 62....and having visited SO maky comic-cons....this is fantastic news. Curious what does a Number one newstand Incredible Hulk Future Imperfect #1 and 2 n go for with Jack's Signature go for? That's just low end of what I have........today you made my day. WHat does a Amazing spider man #300 signed ny Todd McFarlane in what I consider an at least 9.4? Beer....seems I can afford whatever you like. LOL
I think it'd be smart for them to keep the Signature Series distinguishable. I like the authentication, but the CGC Signature Series did always carry a certain weight. They'd be smart to keep it.
I like grading just for the display and protection of something rare or valuable you want to show off. Other then a couple books I really value I had graded. One I just really liked the cover and wanted to have a second copy to hang on the wall and the other is a double signature by jerome opena and jason shawn alexander on spawn 300. Just a big fan of both artists and Spawn. So....both books I own duplicates of...I dont understand people only collecting graded books....I have like...maybe 1500 comics and only 2 of them are graded. Read the books folks. Unless it's worth more then your comfortable touching. In that case I just read them online or get a reprint or something.
I love it. This changes the way I'll look @ buying signed books from here on out, AND I can now send in books I already own that I thought would never be in a CGC slab.
Pretty much zero downside and if anyone has green labels they can now verify your books and give you the label the book deserves.
Glad they're doing this. It sucks all the fun out of a con trying to get a cgc babysitter.

😂 wait to you see the lighting gear I need to correspond with all that hardware. I could power a metropolitan block for a week. 🤪

Honestly that's what I did when I got into comics. I'm really glad that cgc is doing that now
That’s great. CBCS had the courage to do it first but it’s good for collectors and the hobby in general that they’re doing it.
Now I can resubmit my Action 48 signed by the great Fred Ray! The label already notes "Frederick Ray Jr. and salutation on 25th page" which means CGC felt it was authentic to begin with.

There he goes!!! GoldenAge Guru! Just asked about homie a few weeks ago! Good stuff guys
🙏
That's why you take a picture of them singing the comic and you video tape it to . And send that in to show it

Big W for cgc. Way better this way
Holy shiz! When CGC does this it going to be great. I’ve waited a long time to get my triple threat signature holy grail book get the respect it deserves. I’m definitely for it!
This is GREAT NEWS!!
I have a crapload of signed books that I can finally get done!
Brilliant move
I think it's a good thing.I think the community's really gonna embrace it

Yeah, gives you a lower possible price point on some books that might otherwise be out of your reach.
I’m happy to see CGC give this offer.

CGC is done in my book, going to CBCS from now on, not trying to get my books stolen😂
Does this mean COA's mean something now?
Great question.

I'm super excited for this
What's that cool font for the subtitles, guys?

Now you won't have to pay those crazy cgc facilitator fees. It'll be cheaper to just do signature verification.
CGC,is screwing up cause by them having to witness the signature,it's guaranteed it's signed by that person now there is no guarantee.
hey every1 subscribed to this channel, like and comment this video🎉
This is good because now you can cpr a signed book yourself instead of sending it to crappy authorized pressing co

is the verified signature label a different color?
Love the channel
Side note .... WILL TOM AND FGR be doing a CGC signing for CRASHDOWN??
Good or bad? These camera angles.
Jimmy John’s
Notice how now cgc is pushing 9.9 grading. It used to be 9.8. Scam
CGC shills ASSEMBLE! 😂
I think it'd be smart for them to keep the Signature Series distinguishable. I like the authentication, but the CGC Signature Series did always carry a certain weight. They'd be smart to keep it.
Who cares? CGC is a leech on the hobby, anyway.
Collect comics. Don't collect "grades".

You do you and we'll do us.
@@toomuchtobmac Yeah,I mean it doesnt affect me either way. Hope you enjoy your books however you collect em dude.
@xXCigarXx you too bro. That's how we all should be. I love the look of a book in a slab myself. Not only looks better but increases the value.
@@toomuchtobmac if it didnt cost so much Id probably have a few more. 😅
Can you verify if GAG gets a fake? Tan? Or is real? Maybe can use some UV lights.
