Spillways for the most part are bomb fishing. Man you had an amazing day. A day line that I don’t think you would of minded taking a lil swim lol! Great fishing action video!
I would've gladly went in haha days like that at this spillway are rare. It holds nice fish but is decimated by weekend anglers by August. I used to catch giant cats in here. It runs directly into our largest river and I plan to explore deep downstream this season. Thanks for stopping by!!
Love this spillway!! Beastly cats out there too. Big flats and channels. Some real nice common carp and some decent bowfin. Its usually not up this bad.
@@PuddleWalkersOutdoors lol no worries. I was just thinking about taking a drive to southern Indiana and was looking up Lemon/Monroe/Cagles Mill content to see if its worth it. Thanks for the vids
@@EngineeringHooksets Lemon is your best bet for big largemouth. Monroe is great from a boat and Cagle mills is a crappie spot. Be hard pressed to find a bass over 4lbs there. I live in the middle of that triangle of lakes.
@@PuddleWalkersOutdoors was looking into hybrid stripers. Seems like Monroe is the best bet but everyone is saying that spillway is consistently crowded.
Spillway at lemon can be amazing or the worse fishing experience ever 🤣 this was the best day I ever had there and actually started out as a bust. We were there for an hour before I tried that back corner.
That looks like trout water. If there was a place like that around here you would have to wait in line to fish it. Below our dam everyone stands on top of the wall and if your not on the very end of the wall your pretty much out of luck because it’s the only place you can cast to the other side where nobody is allowed to walk and fish. We have to wait until someone leaves to get it and stand in line. Some guys will swap out spots with their friends when they leave.
And you also have to pay $7 a day to fish there. I quit fishing there because of the cost and the crowds. Years ago it wasn’t as crowded and was $5 a day and you had a better chance at catching something. It’s insane how many people have moved into Texas. I’d say just since 1990 the population has increased at least 8 times in my hometown. I’m surrounded by homes now and there wasn’t a home in eyesight when I bought my property.
Man thats insane. Ive watched development around town but for the most part we are still secluded. Trout fishing here is hard to come by. They stock a few streams and guys line up for them. Here you have to buy a $17 fishing license and then you have to buy the trout stamps and if you're lucky you can find a spot to fish. Ive seen a lot of the fishing youtube channels move to Texas. My Dad lives in Pointe, TX. I spent some time there and I love it down there but I also love it here.
@@PuddleWalkersOutdoors there’s a lot of Californians moving here. We need to build a Trump wall around the whole state and keep everyone out. I’m born a raised here 59 years. It’s sure changed for the worse since I was a kid. Used to be a lot of country and wilderness back then. I remember when you could see way more stars clearly at night in my yard. Now there’s so many lights it drowns them out. I’d sure go back if I had a time machine.
nice catches in wild place Thanks for sharing good job guys 👍👊🙂
Great day. Great fishing sketchy walking. Stay after them.
That looked like a bunch of fun, great video thanks for sharing. ✌ and growers 💘
Dude!!!!! What a great outing 👊. All quality bass for sure. That carp fight was great!!
Thanks man! One of my favorite spillways in central Indiana🤘

Have a wonderful day :)
Awesome! Love it when you find em stacked like that
Man it was an amazing trip to Lemon. We had some rough outings there this year.
Hell yeah y’all been getting in some good ones!!
I have fished this very creek. With little luck. You have mastered your craft my Friend. Great videos
We fish this creek quite often. It can be hit or miss but this was the best day I've ever experienced here. Thanks for checking out our video 🤘
That was awesome guys

Fuel prices at the start.....ewww haha. Turned out better! Thats a cool place to fish. I'd surely slip on that moss haha
Great day there. Pulling out logs. Nice job.
Thank you sir!! My favorite spillway!!

Great video love the editing great fish🐟
Thank you!!
Awesome catches guys....wish I knew of places like that with access closer to me in northern Indiana...
We plan to head north this year. Maybe we will find something close to you!!
Nice, I was hoping ya had tied onto a flathead there at the end, that carp gave ya a run for your money.
I was too! There's some nice flathead in there and I've caught a few of them. Thanks for stopping by🤙
the running water scene is just nuts! Fueling up is also one of the worst parts during my fishing trips haha
20 bucks in the tank then 20 bucks in the trees and logs 🤣 fishing is the most expensive "cheap" hobby i do
new subscriber! what a cool place to fish, crazy how many bass can stack up in a small area. Quality size too!
We had fished the spillway for 2 hours before we found the fish all in one area! It was a great time!!
Me and my late father in law went there every Sunday for a summer . I've haven't fished since he passed.
Cheers
It's not the same as it used to be. I've fished it for about 20yrs now and the best it ever was, was around 2006.
Awesome fishing
We love Lake Lemon!!
Wow what a beautiful spto
*spot*
Man that place is awesome. I would love to fish that spillway. Those was some nice fish
We fish this spillway a lot and absolutely love it. Some days she can be real mean to you and others just absolutely bless you with a great trip.
Cool video, I would have fell in - I am not as agile as I once was, Looked like a lot of fun
I pussyfooted all the way across and kept getting visions from the fishing Gods of me falling face foward.
Coming at ya from Straight to the Point! 👍
Thank you!! I see we are part of the same community!!
Gotta take us here! 🤘🤙🙏
Its a creek I would love to really explore. Some solid fishing there
Very nice day of fishing! Have you ever tried trout fishing there!
Sadly no trout. We have very limited trout fisheries in Indiana. Ive never even had an opportunity to fish for one.
Woow imezing.👍👍👍👍
Thank you 👋
I am gonna need to try this!

Hey thanks. Old school editing here 🤣

Monroe spillway gets packed at times. Patoka lake has some real good wipers in it. It's about another hour south of Monroe.
i need to get on some largemouth.. not many around here unless u hit the ponds an some lakes

This is in Indiana?
Yes!! Lake Lemon!!
What’s that waterway called
Its lake lemon spillway. Monroe County Indiana. Amazing lake and a hell of a spillway
