Strictly speaking, the Memory Stone is now the oldest known instance of Equestrian magic to exist in the human universe, predating even the Sirens. This is one magical situation we absolutely can't blame on Midnight Sparkle's destruction of the horse statue.
I like how part of the message pretty much equates to what my mom always told me. "It's not enough to 'not try to' when you make a mistake when it comes to caring for others and NOT hurting them you have to TRY NOT to." It was just a message that felt very close to home and made me happy. (Also you can actually see Sunset turn on the drone just after she reads the note from twilight and before she asks wallflower about her garden. During the "Invisible" song you can also see the blinking red light on the drone).
Also... Rebecca Shoichet is an incredible voice actress. The scene of Sunset losing her memories was... I had so many emotions with that. The way her expressions were animated and the way she voiced the character gave such a sense of sorrow and desperation. I hurt so much watching this special... which is perfect it did it so well. I love it. I love it so much.
Anyone notice the face Luna made when she and Celestia opened the restricted section and looked back at Twilight? Luna looked almost scared, like "Oh boy is she gonna go crazy now" and Celestia was all calm and amused. Great little detail.

I think Applegeek's reactions have become a full part of my MLP rituals. I look forward to them all the time. I don't pay much attention to fan-made stuff, with the exception of FluffyMixer, of course. But every episode/special of FiM and EQG I see comes with at least one thought for Applegeek. They often symbolically refer to attention as light(spotlight, limelight, day in the sun). What happens to a plant that is deprived of light/sun; it withers and dies. Wallflower is slowly dying from her loneliness. Glad you're back posting videos. Was looking forward to your react action to this one since it aired.

Wow, just wow!!! Best EG special! Period! Nothing to say. We have all been waiting for the reunion of celstia and sunset and it finally happens, twilight's reaction to the restricted section is priceless and the moment when sunset lost her memories and goes back to square one give me chills every time i watch it. The moral is just fantastic and i can totally relay to that. Me too i have those awkward moments i want to erase but it's better that way because without them, it's more difficult to make friends because it can work both ways. I can compare myself and wallflower, we have lot in common about that. I was just thinking, how in the world did you know that it was wallflower the one who stole the memories so fast? I was convinced it was trixie because of her been so jalous about the yearbook. Props to the authors about that and they also have done a really great job with sunset pressing record on the drone and making it "invisible" to the audience (pun not intended to the song but screw it i don't care). I wanna say something that I think you didn't realize but when sunset's memories of high school got erased her voice actually changed a little bit also something else to note is that when she lost her memory she didn't mention stealing twilight's crown so it makes me wonder how far did the memory stone erased in sunset cause it felt like it erased her memory of stealing twilight's crown too meaning this sunset that we see after her memory got erased is sunset when she was still celestia's student and before she had the thought of stealing twilight's crown.( if anyone wants to continue the discussion in the reply comments I'll allow it)

So misc stuff. The pony stuff was the best, and Book Horse going full Book Horse was AMAZING! Also, so, now Clover was a dude? Celestia, thinking about it, I do think that Luna being back, and having other Princess to help share the burdens with and to support her has helpped Celestia loosen up and be more willing to indulge her trollish side. But that it was never fully gone. She's always seemed willing and wanting to remind her ponies to not take everything so seriously, to lighten up and have fun. BUT I do think that for Sunset, with NMM's return being so close, and Sunset looking like the best hope of freeing Luna, Tia might have been a bit harder, stricter, more no-nonsense then she otherwise would have, which did help push Sunset away. Twi, she loosened up, plus Twilight is the type to revel in that type of academic pressure. Though not without her neurosis. Still think there are SO many ways they could have dealt with the memory think, like, why didn't Princess Twilight pop over real quick to tell the Humane 6 "Hey, yeah she's telling the truth, you all got hit with Equestrian magic... again." Flash, I like him being kept as a background joke, just shoved aside and forgotten other then to be mocked. Overall, a really really good story, great fun, even if it had a few issues. Still amazing!

Old Ponish was apparently a half dead language used only by a few ponies even in Starswirl's time (hence why Celestia and Luna don't know it very well despite having lived in that time), so presumably the scroll Clover wrote is in that shared language the ponies and humans seem to have. Yes! I was hoping that there would be a reaction to this! I mean I was sure that there would be, I was just really excited. We finally got it! The reunion between Sunset and Celestia that we've been waiting for, and it was in my opinion anyway worth the wait! Plus seeing Twilight be adorkable was great, actually seeing being Celestia being a little bit intimidating towards Sunset at first was actually great to see, just really loved this one. Probably my favorite of the shorts/specials so far. Just loved it.
Pony Twilight might not have had TOO much screen time here, but man did she capitalize on it! I couldn't stop laughing when she was losing it! On a related note, since she doesn't usually like being called "Princess Twilight" when you don't really need to, i rarely call her that.

Best EG special! Period! Nothing to say. We have all been waiting for the reunion of celstia and sunset and it finally happens, twilight's reaction to the restricted section is priceless and the moment when sunset lost her memories and goes back to square one give me chills every time i watch it. The moral is just fantastic and i can totally relay to that. Me too i have those awkward moments i want to erase but it's better that way because without them, it's more difficult to make friends because it can work both ways. I can compare myself and wallflower, we have lot in common about that.
I was just thinking, how in the world did you know that it was wallflower the one who stole the memories so fast? I was convinced it was trixie because of her been so jalous about the yearbook.
Props to the authors about that and they also have done a really great job with sunset pressing record on the drone and making it "invisible" to the audience (pun not intended to the song but screw it i don't care). I didn't noticed that the first time i watched it.
As usual, love your reaction to it and your one hour talk about that. Wish we could talk IRL about this because i have also a lot to say about it.

I wanna say something that I think you didn't realize but when sunset's memories of high school got erased her voice actually changed a little bit also something else to note is that when she lost her memory she didn't mention stealing twilight's crown so it makes me wonder how far did the memory stone erased in sunset cause it felt like it erased her memory of stealing twilight's crown too meaning this sunset that we see after her memory got erased is sunset when she was still celestia's student and before she had the thought of stealing twilight's crown.( if anyone wants to continue the discussion in the reply comments I'll allow it)

When artists on 4chan depict an "anonymous" character in a pic they always use a dark or light green as the skin color. Also she's visually similar to Vivian James, the "official mascot" of the video games board on 4chan. Same frazzled hair, same striped sweater but with different colors.
Okay they probably didn't mean for any of those similarities but they're still there.

Celestia, thinking about it, I do think that Luna being back, and having other Princess to help share the burdens with and to support her has helpped Celestia loosen up and be more willing to indulge her trollish side. But that it was never fully gone. She's always seemed willing and wanting to remind her ponies to not take everything so seriously, to lighten up and have fun. BUT I do think that for Sunset, with NMM's return being so close, and Sunset looking like the best hope of freeing Luna, Tia might have been a bit harder, stricter, more no-nonsense then she otherwise would have, which did help push Sunset away. Twi, she loosened up, plus Twilight is the type to revel in that type of academic pressure. Though not without her neurosis.
Still think there are SO many ways they could have dealt with the memory think, like, why didn't Princess Twilight pop over real quick to tell the Humane 6 "Hey, yeah she's telling the truth, you all got hit with Equestrian magic... again." Or press how nothing over the past yea makes any sense without Sunset playing a roll. Who talked down Twilight, who talked them into embracing their magic, who got Twilight to reopen the portal?
Though rather touching note, this erased all happy memories of Sunset right? And all Twilight remembers is being yelled at at the games, meaning, every single other time Twilight has been around Sunset she's been happy. Shipping YAY!

Old Ponish was apparently a half dead language used only by a few ponies even in Starswirl's time (hence why Celestia and Luna don't know it very well despite having lived in that time), so presumably the scroll Clover wrote is in that shared language the ponies and humans seem to have. Yes! I was hoping that there would be a reaction to this! I mean I was sure that there would be, I was just really excited. We finally got it! The reunion between Sunset and Celestia that we've been waiting for, and it was in my opinion anyway worth the wait! Plus seeing Twilight be adorkable was great, actually seeing being Celestia being a little bit intimidating towards Sunset at first was actually great to see, just really loved this one. Probably my favorite of the shorts/specials so far. Just loved it.
Pony Twilight might not have had TOO much screen time here, but man did she capitalize on it! I couldn't stop laughing when she was losing it!
On a related note, since she doesn't usually like being called "Princess Twilight" when you don't really need to, i rarely call her that.
