In this massive challenge, I managed to survive for 100 days but the game updates everyday, similar to SB737s "100 Days, But It Updates Every Day..." or his "...in 1.20 HARDCORE Minecraft…", Paul GG. I created a circle with an epic base inside, similar to sandictions epic builds in his hardcore world, but not like "...on a raft", or in one block skyblock.

As a programmer, I think working on Minecraft's huge codebase would be a nightmare! So much code, so much cruft, just so much stuff piling up every update! And, Java is usually agreed upon to be a terrible language. So, yeah! If a Minecraft dev sees this comment, I feel your pain.

I personally would say that 1.13- 1.15 is the beggining of modern minecraft where they perfected the overworld and at 1.16 - 1.17 is where it actually became modern. Great video btw!❤

3:20 you caught on fire because there was lava behind the corner that you were standing in. In earlier versions of Minecraft liquid hitboxes were a bit buggy, and you could interact with them by standing diagonally to them.
8:22 this isn’t entirely correct. The subreddit r/goldenageminecraft is for all versions from classic to release 1.2.5. While a lot of the members do think beta 1.7.3 is the best, they don’t speak for everyone. I think older Minecraft has a certain charm and difficulty that is just fun, and the simplicity allows for creativity, but modern Minecraft is also fun!

I see what you mean for the beta 1.7.3 part but nowhere did he mention any other versions except his opinion with modern minecraft versions. And for "they don't speak for everyone" they speak for the community that thinks it. So no, he is mostly correct having putting the subreddit with that range but the other version players also being there being the incorrect part of what he said. For putting r/goldenageminecraft I believe he used that for being one of the closest things relating to old minecraft versions that many community members of beta 1.7.3 use. or not, I didn't do research but guessing by the scroll in the subreddit part he did means that they do use that subreddit commonly. So again, the 1.7.3 members don't speak for that subreddits entire community, but they speak for their own separate community from their own opinion. Also this was edited after reading my own comment seeing mistakes in what i said and mainly coming from how i read your comment with reading the wrong words in my head. Also this reply could be entirely incorrect but i just wish to share what I know on it, so on the chance I am very very wrong I will admit anything pointed out that's incorrect about this message. You obtained the snowy grass block in day 69 it very rare. It just the normal snowy grass you usually see but without the snow layers.
At 35:34 the white layer grass block is the rarest type of block u can get in the latest versions of minecraft its so rare people go in older versions modify the files of the versions and transfer to their main version just to see the layerless snowy grass block u are the luckiest person ngl.

I almost didn't watch this because of the obnoxious editing, but as the video went on it calmed down a little so I decided to stick around because this is a really cool concept! Even though almost none of the updates actually _affected_ anything in your gameplay, it's fun to see the different changes summarized super fast and remember being there for them - and then after 1.9, it's like watching a live feed of the game steadily tumbling downhill faster and faster.
