I remember the ocelot was the best thing ever. I was too young to understand updates and checking the webs, so one day I would go onto Minecraft and find new animals and things, it was awesome

I remember when horses were added to Minecraft. I'm pretty sure that was the first major update I was actually aware of when I started playing. It's crazy how much has been added since then.

This is actually quite useful for someone like me who used to play minecraft in the early 2010's then took a huge gap of not playing until semi-recently. So there's soooo much stuff I don't know about, most useful thing I learned: I don't need to double tap W to sprint 🙃I've only put about 30 hrs into my current gameplay doing it the old way....

This is just showing me how skewed my view of minecraft updates is. Mention two things in a single update i thought were years apart - something i never remembered not being in the game and another thing i remember being new.
Same, I was shocked when I found out polar bears and magma blocks were in the same update!

Iconic changes and major QoL features either feel significantly newer or older than they are, it seems. I thought the aquatic update was way earlier than stripped wood, and I remember the Farlands lasting way longer than they actually did.
Finding out that the end cities were added in 1.9 was so weird, like it feels so recent still, I can’t believe its that old

Lizzie's tree house gives me so much nostalgia, like literally everyone made treehouses when they first started playing minecraft (although mine didn't look nearly as good as hers haha)
I used to make treehouses as my house in a server but people always destroyed it and I just built it again with a big rainbow.

i started in version alpha v1.1.2_01, some of the ways that the game is spoken about really makes me feel old, and unhappy because i really liked a lot of the updates back then as they were. people take a lot of stuff in the newer versions for granted it seems. i guess it's the curse of knowing what came before too well.

Minecraft was pay to play since the first alpha version. Just got more expensive the older it got.
This person started playing in beta which was after alpha, just making sure you dont have to google that too.
This gave me a great idea of when I started playing Minecraft. I remember when the color update was released, but I had been playing long before that. I also remember when llamas were implemented, and I had been playing maybe a few months or a year before that. This is amazing

As someone who hasn’t played Minecraft since sea guardians were added, this video helped a lot as an update 👍
Oh oh! Learn about villager trading, and how zombifying villagers and curing them again helps (only works in normal and hard mode). It will make your Minecraft life a lot easier. And if you find lapis, go 4 blocks north and dig straight down. It'll give a high chance of finding diamonds (do be careful of possible lava when doing this though).
Same I only started playing again after stopping around 1.8 so this was really interesting!

I didn't play until it looked like current mc but no cool mobs edit: I joined at 1.8

I've been binging a lot of your videos, and one of my FAVORITE things is you and Lizzie interacting in game. Its probably the best thing
I just relived that I’ve been in the Minecraft community since you crafted fences using sticks in 1.2.4, which was released in 2012 meaning I was maybe 3 or so years old!
And I’ve been playing it since 1.7-1.8, so I’d be around 4-5 years old when I started playing Minecraft.
This video really opens your eyes to reality of how OLD you are 🥲

Anything before 1.14 felt nostalgic to me. I remember opening Minecraft and all the textures changed. Took me 5 months to adjust.

The reason “A Seedy Place” was gotten as late as it was is because Advancements (then Achievements) used to be linear, so you had to do many things before others.

I started playing over 7 years ago and I remember being so excited when I logged onto minecraft and suddenly beds were colored and stained glass existed. The coastal village rebuild made me sad tho... I loved a house that they had there

This is mad to me because Minecraft is actually a day older than me! I’ve been playing since I was about 7 so I only remember updates from around halfway through the video.
Ironically enough, I’ve never actually beaten the game as I mostly build and am too much of a survival noob to actually do it.
I started playing Minecraft around the 1.12 update and this just made me realize how much has happened since
