I was 23 at the time and more interested in dating…so yeah, instead of going to see “The King of Rock-n-Roll” I chose to go on a date. 1 year later the King was dead. To this day I do not have adequate words to express how much I regret my decision “of not going”. My dad was a hospital administrator…a strictly business type man…a no nonsense kind of guy. In other words not much of anything outside of his work impressed him. The night after the concert at our family dinner table my dad said, “son you have no idea what you passed up last night…that was truly something special…that Elvis Presley is absolutely amazing…you shoulda gone with us”. I remember him saying those words even today as if it was only yesterday that he said them. My one chance in a life time to see EP and missed it. What the hell was I thinking ☹️

I was 7yo and went with my mama and aunt. I remember my mom going nuts when his intro started and she didn't stop till the busses started leaving. Of course elvis prob wasn't on a bus but she didn't realize that. 😂

The audio has been paired with the film footage to try and recreate the concert…and for the time they’ve done an exemplary job! Keep in mind this was 48 years ago. This wasn’t recorded with today’s iPhone.
