  • A simple and easy beginners guide to Sugaring and Wine Roping which will attract more moths to your location and is a useful addition to Moth trapping.
I explain what ingredients to use and how to mix the solution. Also useful tips on when and where to place the mixture to attract the maximum moths as well as other insects you may what to attract.
The video is pitched at people who interested in general nature like birds , butterflies and mothers who have never used Sugaring for moths. Also Birders, bird watchers who are thinking of stepping into the wonderful world of moths.
I also give some moth identification tips.
I have been moth trapping/sugaring/ surveying day time moths and identifying and recording moths for about 20 years.
Filmed in my urban wildlife garden.
Why not think about rewilding your garden for the benefit of moths and butterflies with a small or large native wildflower meadow. Dig a wildlife pond to encourage frogs, newts and toads to breed.
With a wildlife pond you will also attract dragonflies, moths, bats and an array of pond creatures.
