Mad Dog:“I could’ve rushed that bengals” o-line on a Sunday
Me: 😂😂 You ain’t lying them boys gave up 50+ sacks
As a Bengals fan since the 70s I truly believe you.....and I have no freakin clue who or what you are.
As a Bengals fan since 1985 yeah our O Line was a major problem & Burrow getting us to that game was one of the most unbelievable accomplishments I’ve ever seen.
Hopefully we have fixed our line issues cause our skill players are scary great like Jamar Chase, Tee Higgins etc.
@@patrickgray5633facts and to be honest the argument that Lamar is better than burrow is disrespectful. Lamar had the best team in the league and lost. He also lost to burrow who had the worse o line in years
Why is nobody talking about Deion Sanders. 9 time first-team all-pro, 8 pro bowl selections, a defensive player of the year as a corner, 25 yards per interception. He locked one side of the field and he didn’t have the luxury of resting. The man played on every possession, kick and punt returns, offense as a receiver and defense as a corner and he was the best corner this league has seen by far. Him and LT are by far the greatest defenders because no other players had the dominance they had on their positions defensively.
We know why... Pspsps I said this because of how he is perceived through the media . Same hate the Lamar Jackson's, Jalen Ramsey's, obj is always gonna have they hate to see a black man act like where he is from . And hold it with pride .( p) If you are the image that they want you to be . You'll have a army of Connor's at your defense .
I think they mean D line cause if it’s just defense period then it’s LT and Deion after that it’s a debate
Lawrence Taylor said it best “I don’t consider myself the best defensive player of all time… I look at Reggie White… and we know Reggie was a religious man. When he lined up everyone was praying on offenses that he didn’t hurt them and Reggie was praying that he didn’t hurt you.”
lol its 2022..scary people don't have nothing to do with you on the field for one he's a DT putting DE stats lol to sit there and not even try to discuss it jus because u like how football use to be played or they played nd hurt people is dumb especially wen his stats nd achievements meet the criteria to ..I mean deion sanders honestly is only athlete ever in any sport if you think about it is only person where his position CB will never be up for debate about who's best ever at his position...so I mean its not guaranteed to be LT....forever lol das all its like a bias discussion

Ray Lewis - 13x pro bowler, 10x All pro (7 first team), 2x Super Bowl champ, Super bowl MVP, 2x DPOTY, led the NFL in tackles 5 seasons, and the leader of arguably the greatest defense of all time in the 2000 Ravens who holds the all time records for fewest points and fewest rush yards giving up in a season. He deserves more recognition in this conversation
@@MitchGreen_LLC LT was a hybrid pass rusher/OLB...Ray was a MLB...They had different responsibilities but Ray was just as good at his position as LT was at his
LT impacted both sides of the ball offense and defense. His impact on defense speaks for itself. But he changed how offense approached the game to stop LT.
He invented the H-Back position. It got invented by Joe Gibbs to block him. Olineman back in the day put their hands in the dirt before the snap but due to LT being so great they made them put them in the knees cause they couldn't block him straight ahead. Let alone making the Left Tackle and outside Linebacker position famous. The League twisted the rules to stop him cause he was so great.
honestly, you can make an argument that nowadays athletes are better because there dealing with the fallout from lt and still putting up impressive seasons. AD revitalizes careers Clay Mathews had his best season in like 5 years and the end of his career, people thought Von Miller was falling off, Leonard Floyd was looked at as a bust and had his best season with the rams, the same can be said about Dante Fowler but Fowler got a contract and has not nearly been as effective without Donald. To top it off he's a dt that's playing during a time that the rules are geared towards the offense way more heavily than the 80s
Mad dog needs to be here more often. They fit well together and have chemistry
Stephen A wanted Skip Bayless back so bad that he went and got the Great Value version of it, Mad Dog Bayless, lol
This takes you back with all the shouting and back and forth extravaganza of back in the day, SAS and Great Value Skip Bayless
*Most 1st Team All Pros in first 8 seasons*
7 - Aaron Donald, Lawrence Taylor
6 - Reggie White, Bobby Bell
how reggie only won 6 blows my mind. he averaged nearly 16 sacks a season for his first 8 seasons. donald has only crested that mark once in his first 8 seasons. i get there different eras, but reggie white was an absolute MONSTER and get so disrespected

In 1992 he did make 2nd team all pro but lost out to Clyde Simmons and Chris Doleman for first

And he knows the sports more than Stephen A . Stephen A is just louder .
Love Donald, but let's not forget LT, Reggie White, Bruce Smith and Deacon Jones. I'd go with LT. I have watched him and Donald. I feel like LT gets a slight edge, but Donald is definitely in the conversation. So are some others I left off list.
I don't understand how people just think because someone was great in there era there isn't a player who can come close to them. I'm sorry Aaron Donald is the best Player in this area hands down. Donald is definitely up there, but I don't think he's one of the five all-time greatest defensive players. My top 10 would be:
1. Lawrence Taylor (2x SB Champion, NFL MVP, 3x DPOY, 8x First-team All-Pro, 2x Second-team All-Pro, 10x Pro Bowl, 142 sacks, 54 FF, 80's All-Decade Team)
2. Reggie White (SB Champion, 2x DPOY, 8x First-team All-Pro, 5x Second-team All-Pro, 13x Pro Bowl, 2x sacks leader, 198 sacks, 33 FF, 80's and 90's All-Decade Team)
3. Bruce Smith (2x DPOY, 8x First-team All-Pro, 2x Second-team All-Pro, 11x Pro Bowl, most sacks in NFL history (200), 43 FF, 80's and 90's All-Decade Team)
4. Ray Lewis (2x SB Champion, SB MVP, 2x DPOY, 7x First-team All-Pro, 3x Second-team All-Pro, 13x Pro Bowl, 3x tackles leader, most tackles (2059) and solo tackles (1568) in NFL history, 2000's All-Decade Team)
5. Deion Sanders (Stats are meaningless since he was a CB)
6. Deacon Jones (2x DPOY, 5x First-team All-Pro, 3x Second-team All-Pro, 8x Pro Bowl, approximately 194 sacks, 60's All-Decade Team)
7. Joe Greene (4x SB Champion, 2x DPOY, 5x First-team All-Pro, 3x Second-team All-Pro, 10x Pro Bowl, 78 sacks, 70's All-Decade Team)

I think people need to remember that Donald has only played 8 seasons. You are comparing stats/awards of players who completed 11-19 years to a person who has played only 8 and is still actively playing. Also, you forgot that Donald was also the rookie defensive player of the year.
The fact that this is an actual discussion and he’s only 8 years in, says enough
He is not in an actual discussion
He is only the topic cuz espn wants to hype him up

Teams threw the ball an average of 30-32 times from the late 80s-early 90s (Reggie’s prime)
From 2011 to present, teams consistently throw 34-35 times a game.
So only a 10-15% increase if that.

Steven A never fails to make me laugh😭
Lawrence Taylor was so great he'd could cover in the passing game
Stephen A is right on this precisely because of the difficulty modern defensive players face. Look at how even on the final play of the Super Bowl, Donald had the control to not throw his weight on the QB, avoids a roughing the passer call.
