I first discovered ‘Minder’ by chance in the summer of 2001 at the age of 15 (it was being shown on ITV at 2pm every afternoon at that time) and I’ve been laughing ever since - I’ve seen each and every episode multiple times (literally). RIP George!
Hi Paul Don't know if you are, like me, a Londoner but it was the most wonderful 107 episodes and the original chemistry between George and Dennis was awesome. Sadly, much of that fabulous London is now part of a bygone era but at 65 years young I can say I was there but from South EAST London where this was based,as you know, in South West London. Good Luck.
George just heard you have passed from this earth god bless ya mate one cockney geezer hope God has enough reddies to splash out take care mate a fan always..just shed a tear for one that i watched as a young boy
Love ya George. Rest in peace. An absolute treasure. I admire your patience, listening to this lot, cackling around you.....hideous. God bless you George.
George Cole was a Great Guy, how he was never Sir George Cole I do not know, to me he is Sir George Cole. A wonderful man and actor. The 2 of you in Minder was Great such a great partnership. Rest in Peace Mr Cole
George Cole 1925 - 2015 R.I.P. You were an absolute legend George, from the 1940's until the 2000's.I hope your family read this and appreciate the respect and affection you are held in by millions of us.I've still got some of your frost damaged refrigerators and water damaged umbrellas, maybe somebody down The Winchester will take 'em off me 'ands!
What a shock this morning when the death of our beloved ARFUR had been announced. I'm so deeply sad and wish to send my condolences to the family, friends and workmates. He is irreplaceable. But he will live forever in our hearts!
RAYalized He certainly will, a true gentle-man has left us, thanks for the memories George all of us that have watched you and enjoyed your presence touched our lives in ways very few have achieved rest in peace my good man ;0)
What a legend George was. Shame he had to be interviewed by two muppets who weren't professional enough to do their research properly and on three occasions got their information wrong.
What an opportunity missed by the interviewers - The Great George Cole nearly reminiscing about the Great Alistair Sim - End of an Era - God Bless George and Alistair
Loved Minder. It was up there with Only Fools and Horses. Great tv back then. George was a legend and the only reason I kept watching when Dennis left. As George would say... All in Good time... and a good time it was. Now Sadly missed.
My sincerest condolences to the family of George Cole who has sadly passed away. He will forever be remembered for his role as the loveable rogue Arthur Daley in the TV series "Minder" r.i.p George, you will be sadly missed.
Thankyou George. ...I'm an 70s child so I grew up watching minder. .loved Thursday nights the with the antics of Arthur and Terry ..just don't make TV like that anymore..minder ,sweeny, proffesionals etc...r.i.p George
Martin Nevey I love those classic TV series you mentioned, too. I now have each one of them on DVD. The late, great George Cole OBE was pure class and he created a truly iconic character in London based wheeler dealer Arthur Daley. Rest in eternal peace, my son. You've certainly earned it. Stand on me.
George Cole THE most wonderful Actor in all 107 episodes of Minder. I almost know some of the scripts off by heart and as a 65 year old South Londoner can relate. Used to regularly play Pitch and Putt at Morden where George, apparently, lived. The crazy thing about reading the dark humour in some of the ( tasteless comments) about predictions for The Death List is that ALL the candidates mentioned being George,Brucie,Freddie Starr and Max Clifford are all dead..
A truly wonderful gentleman actor with what, 70 years? in the business. I hate the way that the word legend is attached to just about anybody these days because such a word should only be used to describe people like George.
Paul Doe I agree, the "One Show" is terrible. Its not so much the fault of theinterviewers, but the whole structure of the show. George, who was billed thestar of this particular episode, was spoken to briefly at the start of the show. Then, made to wait for 14 minutes while the show deviated off onto othertopics, before returning to interview him about his long career, and his book.I've seen other episodes, and it appears that this is the format of the show. But to me, its a shambles, they are trying to cram too much into such a shortspace of time. r.i.p. Mr Cole (You are sadly missed)
If you watch closely you'll appreciate how out of touch and fake the presenters come across, especially the male, It's a shame really as I'm sure they don't mean to offend, they're likely just inexperienced, But a legend such as George Cole deserves much better than this, He handled it well I think
This is not a nice comment Karl. George was already 90 years old and he wasn't feeling very well, but he still had the power to appear to his dear fans who loved him for decades and still do. By the way, his book is great! If we all would have done so much like him, we could be proud
RAYalized plenty of nasty comments on here aimed at the 2 other people doing the interview and trying hard to get something out of him. The fact remains that he is only here to flog a book, he may be I'll and close to death but he's still promoting something
True. I doubt if his final ambition was to appear on The One Show BUT being 90 and frail means most people in that combination would look distant when not engaging....
George is a legend ... the two interviewers belong in a PR agency.
Sleep well Georgie boy - loved your work!!
Diamond geezer! RIP George, you gave us a lot of pleasure.
RIP George, thanks for the memories, let the angels be your minder now
There will never be another person like him. What can I say. Legend.

The Chemistry between Dennis and George was genius. In real life they were both London boys which help make it real.

He was a one off. RIP.
Looks very well considering his age and seems to have all of his marbles to.
A truly wonderful gentleman actor with what, 70 years? in the business. I hate the way that the word legend is attached to just about anybody these days because such a word should only be used to describe people like George.
RIP 'Flash Harry'
two words... five phoneboxes.....

Fascinating guy, horrible interviewers.
***** you are so right! thanks for your great comment!

It really is a poor show. I should be amazed it's lasted so long but I'm not really.
@@davidholgate123 You are spot on. It's lasted so long because the public watch it...Bizarre...
RIP
you should have been knighted, Sir George cole.............
Instead of saying alright Dennis he should of said,
"alright tel, ps hows dave behind the ramp"
HI Michael, thanks for sharing this video! Great to see that there is a large group of wonderful fans out there! And welcome to my channel! Cheers!
Liked the interview with George Cole - the interviewers however talk drivel.
Funny how younger TV people seem so vain and annoying when they’re sat next to older generations.
I can't stand those two presenters!
well dont watch it then you knob

a national embarrassment that he was on this pathetic show. Shouldve had his own hour.
How rude of the hosts to reveal she read it while working out before the show. His life story. He didn't look amused. How disrespectful
Alex Jones needs nailing. Stunning
Was a real English (even though he played brilliantly a rascal ) solely missed
Cole appears disinterested and bored, obviously he's only here to try and flog a book.
