While the Layout is close to an ancient roman villa, the decorations, ornaments, waterworks, greenery and such are more like renaissance, Baroque or classicism even. The balustrade of the patio for instance would have been wooden (like your inside ones) rather than stone pillars. Those tiny hedges are also not roman but rather modern. Nice video though
In sims you really have to work with what they give you. It's nearly impossible to create perfect, historical buildings. This is close enough to make it a fun house for anyone who enjoys the style
I've studied Latin for over five years and considering the limited objects you get from the game, I think the creator did a really good job and really reconstructed some parts really good.
The Domus as well should be "flipped". In the Domus (Roman House) the garden is inside not outside like this one. The big structure should be right after the street.
This looks something straight out of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood with that whole Italian and orange roofed theme & the Colosseum beside it haha always appreciate the little touches !!

To be honest in the Sims there are limited objects, and I wanted to build something that reminds me of that style. I was inpired by 'Pompei Casa del Fauno' and 'Casa dei dioscuri', but there aren't huge lots in the sims, so I simplified them.
