  • The STA ordered 270 Volvo B12BLE Euro 5 units and were delivered from 2006-2011. 250 of these buses have a thermo king A/C unit while the other 20 buses which are the growth order units were delivered with a Cooltek A/C unit.
Bus 2120 ST replaced the yellow mobitec desto to a white one which is easier to see when it’s dark.
Here’s a short description about the 533 route.
The 533 route used to be a peak hour route between Chatswood and Sydney Olympic park. There was a 534 bus route which ran from Chatswood to West Ryde. As part of the timetable changes from 30 June 2019, additional services during off peak hours, weekends and evening services were introduced to the 533 which allowed the 534 route to be withdrawn between Ryde and Chatswood.
This ZF gearbox sound on this bus sounded odd at the time of filming it.

i only noticed how many of these gas powered buses used have their own slogan up on the side been promoted by sta. that have now disappeared and only a handful left, with these still exists with the slogans on them remaining today.
I think because back then when the government bought these new buses into STA. they were promoting these vehicle's as an enviromentaly friendly bus. but it's usually still diesel & emitting a lot of fumes though, which is not good for the environment. including gas which is also another source. that powers the bus, can also emitt so much too. which in a way that zero emissions buses is much efficient vehicle's that can help keep the diesel emissions off to a low level. they however got some service life in them for sometime more yet. because they may still can play in an important role in taking over some of the articulated versions that was takin out of service due to cracks in their bogies would be suitable replacement until when they return. and that I think it should be ok, because busways have enough sufficient buses in the fleet to cover the units that's covering the artic routes.

@@EOAL6689 I believe that the slogans on the buses were only there just to promote at the time when these buses were delivered new to the STA but they might have kept it as a relic when the bus was delivered new. I think the reason for promoting the environmentally friendly buses on the B12BLE Euro 5 and the O500LE CNG because at the time of being brand new, both of these buses were environmentally friendly and it uses low emissions to power up these buses. I do hope that these buses are able to replace some of the artic buses that were taken out of service due to the cracks being found on these buses and I don’t think a rigid can replace an articulated bus as a rigid can only carry as many people as they can whereas an artic can carry lots of people onboard. I do hope that these buses are transport minister doesn’t have to remove all their artic on the roads as we still need high capacity vehicles to assist with busy times especially school runs and peak hours.

I still think that the STA should order electric articulated buses to replace the 80 Custom Coaches articulated buses to provide extra capacity.

@@travelexplorer774 I heard that tfnsw did announced that they did intended to buy brand new double decker buses, to takover from impounded artic units. to cover most routes they run on. but we don't know what their models will be. either if it's (Bustech CDI or Gemilang MAN NDF Decker. not much is confirmed yet. but i only just heard that tfnsw would might purchase new double decker for their place.

@@EOAL6689 Really? I didn’t know that the TFNSW would order double decker buses to replace the artic buses. They should just order articulated buses as these buses can fit under low bridges unlike double decker buses where it cannot fit on low bridges.

@@travelexplorer774 yep that was the suggestion from tfnsw. that wanted to order double decker buses, to substitute as the artic replacements. but no type of specific vehicle's has been specified yet. just only of what type will be the replacements. but as for now they only called for the double decker model.
