Really like "the last voyage of the demeter" for a vampire flick. There was a critic that had a great quote for that movie that i think is the best way to think of vampires. "Don't think of them as men that become monsters, but instead think of them as monsters pretending to be men. And be afraid when they no longer need to pretend."
This is his passion project. I mean the fact he had the opportunity before northman to do this but said he still didnt feel ready. I mean this movie could be special special, i wish this was black and white but I understand not doing that
Every single one of Robert Eggars movies brought tears to my eyes I loved them so much when I first saw them. Idk what it is about this man but his movies just affect me in a way no other filmmaker does. I was crying at the end of The Northman I liked it so much. So to say I’m excited for this is an understatement! I think some artist just speak to you in your soul and Robert’s art does for me. (A part of it could be is that I love history a lot and I love reading about old times and cultures so I probably feel the history nerd energy and that’s what I love. 😂)
The original film from 1922 is a masterpiece of gothic horror, and at least in the trailers I’ve seen so far it looks like Robert Eggers is really striving to encapsulate F. W. Murnau’s vision.
so here for lily rose depp proving she deserves the career she has. used to be such a hate train against the poor girl, even in her early french films i thought she was extremely talented
In preparation for this movie, are you gonna react the original movie of Nosferatu (1922)? It's a great movie, me and one of my collaborators even review the movie in my channel and I highly recommend it.
Looks interesting enough, although I'm not sure from the trailer if Eggers is really going to bring anything new to the genre. Probably the last vampire story I really liked was the 1998 TV series "Ultraviolet".

A Nosferatu remake by Eggers. What a time to be alive.
The only man I could imagine to take on a gothic vampire story
I like how the word Vampire is pronounced correctly, not in English but in Serbian, where the word comes from, this will be a great movie

Honestly as much as I dislike it for what it is I wouldn’t mind him rereleasing the film eventually in black and white.

I love Bill Skarsgaard as an actor.
Can't wait to see him in it.
Fact: Willem Dafoe did play the role of max schreck in the movie of shadow of the vampire (2000).
You probably have the best accent on UA-cam! Love it ! Lol
Ha ha! Will take that as a compliment! 👍👍🎬🎬

Looks very much like a copy of Werner Herzog's masterpiece "Nosferatu the Vampyre" a great ,atmospheric adaptation and worth watching before this.
