  • I’ve been seeing a lot of these popular resin trays pop up on my social media pages lately and knew I had to try to make one myself! So when TotalBoat sent me some epoxy to try, I thought an amazing tray was the perfect trial craft (knowing it would need layers of resin). The options are literally endless with how you can design and decorate your tray. I used acrylic paint, crushed glass, crystals, and of course resin in this cool silicone mold I found online! I think the tray came out beautiful and I can’t wait to make more (maybe with some alcohol ink or mica pigment powder next time)!

A big thank you goes to TotalBoat who was kind enough to work with me and send me their product to try. Y’all their customer service was on point! Sophie helped me pick out which resin I should try (as they have many options) and shipped out my order fast! Definitely worth looking into.
***This is NOT a payed/sponsored video, I just wanted to give this epoxy a shot (as I’m always looking for new products to try).
With that being said- I didn’t have any issues with it and thoroughly enjoyed working with this epoxy / resin. It’s a really thick resin but had a great prolonged handling time. I think my only complaint is the fumes are really strong. I always use a respirator face mask but definitely recommend working in a well-ventilated area / with a window open. www.totalboat.com/product/jes...

Hi! This is gorgeous! Question… Did you let the first thin clear layer cure overnight before you added the rest?

It's beautiful! Just wonder when you put the handles on...?

Thanks! Sorry I didn't show it, but I just set them in the resin before adding the last the coat. So the handles just cured within the resin and I didn't have to drill holes and screw them in.

Love this! Question: did you just epoxy the handles on?

Thank you! Pretty much, when I poured the resin in I just stuck the handles in so they cured with the tray.
