I generally love more gushes than rants because I love seeing people being passionate about their hobbies. I do like rants if they're comedy leaning like you guys mentioned. If a channel is all about only serious-over the top ranting then I don't subscribe because too much negativity drains me emotionally. The channels that I tend to love are a healthy balance of gushing and ranting backed up by critical opinions/criticisms. They're not just about "omg I had this transcendental experience" or "omg that book is trash" 😂. Great conversation ladies!
tbh I only really click on a video if it's a book I already read or a creator I already like haha. Doesn't matter if it's a rant or a gush :) My one exception is that I love watching 'worst books of 20XX', it's so cathartic
