I have small hands/fingers, am constantly seeking out player-friendly instruments, and the LX1 is about the best I've found. It's no beauty but has a nicely playable fretboard and slim neck profile. Sounds good and bulletproof in construction.
Thanks for the encouragement! Haven't picked it up in a while but will definitely have to get back into practicing! I have since bought two more guitars! LOL.
Absolutely! Honestly this seems to be a gateway "drug". Now, I'm saving up for a full size Martin! Hopefully at least a Road Series! But if I get impatient, an X series will do! haha!
Top is wood but the rest i believe is laminate. Fretboard is made out of FSC® Certified Richlite, quick google seem to say it's from recycled material.
@@ArbieIgnacio I just play occasionally like for some friends and family nothing to intense but I want my guitar to have to ability to be played in front of a large crowd just in case, do you think this guitar can do the job?
@@dewantausifyarchowdhury2449 for playing for yourself, friends and family and especially if you want to bring it with you to places, it's perfect. Now if it'll be a large crowd and a bigger venue, you may need to plug it in. Hope that helps. What kind of music do you play?
@@dewantausifyarchowdhury2449 awesome same here. I think you'll be happy with the guitar. I now have a full sized one and it definitely is louder and has a deeper tone, but I was just playing my Little Martin again yesterday and it's still pretty good. Check out to see if you can get a Dreadnought Jr instead if you're worried about it being too small. Also, I have some issues with my shoulder, so playing my full sized dreadnought is not very comfortable so I alternate using the two of them. But that's just me...
Hi! I haven't done a lot but I would thing so. Just tried a couple of Bm shapes and F shapes around the 9th fret. It can get pretty cramped but doable, specially if you're used to it. It also will depend on your hands though. I have I think small to average sized hands so, it was a little cramped but it's ok. Hope that helped!
@@julancastillo745 oh man. I can't quite remember, I think the older Martins had a tuner and also today's road series have built-in tuners. I just use my phone and I hardly need to tune it really. Hope you still like it though!
Hi Avinash! Sorry but i can’t give you the guitar, im using it to practice. Maybe when i get sponsored i can do a give away. Not yet though. Thanks for watching! 😁
Hi KianFuji27, thanks for watching. I got this second hand from a guy on Facebook. But you can get it from any music store, but of course for around double the price. Nasa US ka ba? Any Guitar Center would have this. Yah, it's a great guitar, the sound is great, if you need it louder for outside gigs, you might want to plug it in. Minsan, I find myself too slouched over because of its size. But, it's a very capable guitar. Ed Sheeran uses one. I do want to have another full sized guitar, but really, I don't need one, I just want one! haha. What are you using now?
@@ArbieIgnacio I'm currently using the Takamine GN11MCE-NS. It's a full size guitar and also cheap. Medyo onti lang ang price difference sa baby taylor which is also a travel guitar (comparable to little martin) and I bought at JB music hehe... That's what I want din eh hehe (the baby taylor) but thanks anyway!
Nice! If you’re after Taylors try out the GS Mini. It’s a little bigger than the Little Martin but still considered as a travel guitar. I haven’t tried the Baby Taylor but the GS Mini is sooo good! I’m biased with Martin but can’t deny how good Taylors are!

Amazing guitar, ed sheeran uses this one.
Also, beans on toast uses a small martin for alot of his songs.
The sound of a martin just can't be beat.

Ed sheeran doesn't use "this one" he used another one similar to this one, but not this one, cause this one is this guy's guitar 😎

Is it good enough to be my primary guitar cause I can only afford one
Hi Dewan. Sorry for the delay. You definitely can! Ed Sheeran uses one. Are you using it for gigs? Are you usually in more intimate sessions?

How does it feel playing barre chords up in the higher frets? Too cramped?

Thanks Mike R! I am! Actually got an even better deal on a full size X series I think 2 weeks ago!
Does this have a truss rod?
Yes, but it doesn't come with an adjusting tool. Buy one for $4-$10.
