I don’t get why you are starting flat. I think your 230 stitches include the steek. I knitted this for a new grand daughter. Started in July and finished end of October. It took me many hours and needed a lot of concentration but it was worth it. For me it was a special pattern for a special project. I used the yarn suggested. The colours are gorgeous. Thank you Gary x
