the dude in the blue sweatshirt is insaaaaane he's so aware of the different languages, that's the level of cultural intelligence everyone should strive for! amazing!
Agree !
well, not everyone strives to be cultural intelligent. For people who travel, sure it might come in handy, but for someone who never leaves the country it won't be much of an interest
@@shokimo6866 globalization overall still makes it valuable and what if the people who like to travel come visit you

I am very impressed with the guy in the blue sweatshirt.. He understands accents and cues insanely well.
All from learning through listening to international music. Very cool.
it’s crazy how cool music is, it can be used to help people with alzheimer’s and dementia 🥺🥺 music is therapy ❤️
that guy is incredible!
Right what a cool study?!:) wish I knew that when I was a kid. I’d love to learn that still. Good way to learn language

Literally how I learnt the majority of my English to the point of native level proficiency and being a professional songwriter. Music is powerful.
That Aunty was so far off in most of her guesses but confusing Finnish for “Hong Kong Chinese” and Swahili for Hindu has absolutely sent me 😂 😂
And Hindu is not even a language. Kind of ignorant on her part.

It amazes me how people’s voices slightly change when they switch languages
A friend told me that her personality is slightly different in her own language, maybe that contributes?
My voice is deeper in English than in Swedish and Icelandic. I have no idea why!
I think it's because of the different use of pronunciations. idk tho, spitballin.
@@BM-ir1dr yea it actually does. I did a paper on Polish and some people's whole attitude changed based on what they speak. it's actually really cool
I sound really drunk speaking Estonian.. I only sound slightly drunk speaking English.
I love everyone's faces when Matthew guesses the branch of their language right off the bat, it's amazing.
Cut needs Matthew and Fatuma from the “guess my country” video to do a cultural literacy series. The combo of their geography/history and linguistic knowledge would be so good!
I has to scroll way too far to see someone bring up Fatuma. Id love to see her and Matthew go head to head guessing peoples nationalities
And Sasha. In the video she featured in she was very quick to pick up the language. She knows about 8 different languages and that's just the ones she named she said there's some she missed off xx
Wow Matthew is so good at this. Love people's reaction when he guesses their country right!!
This was also not the most difficult set of languages tbh

Love it whenever Jesse is in a video. Matthew was so spot-on. Also great to see some Cantonese representation - my mum is Cantonese and it's such a beautiful sounding dialect!
When that lady said HINDU, I died. People need to know HINDU or HINDUISM is a religion whereas HINDI is a north Indian language.
There is nothing like Indian as a language. It's a nationality.
I am Indian and I am not a native Hindi speaker. Hindi is my 3rd language.
Hindi isn't just a north Indian language, it is the official language of India and is also spoken in other parts of India.
I had heard all those words but didn't know how to properly use them. Thank you very much for explaining.
I was not expecting the Québécoise at the beginning. I love it. I wonder how she ended up being part of this. I've always wondered if Canadians could be part of Cut videos.
I don't think they fly out people to appear in videos. Cut is established in Seattle if I'm not wrong so she is probably just a Québécoise living in Seattle.

The younger man had such exquisite descriptions of the languages. "It sounds like a vacation, a language from a coast"
The way Jesse describes things brings me joy
