What a wonderful, supportive family! I didn't consider the groom overly picky, he just did not like some dresses. Adorable couple, and the dress was perfect for this beautiful bride.
She passed away in 2018. She and Mathis had one child via surrogate. She was a dentist but also seemed like a lovely person inside and out. Cancer sucks.
Too many people is never a good thing. It overpowers the brides thoughts and opinions. But they were a very respectful and kind group. It was Mathew who was the one who mattered to her.
The final gown was stunning on her. I don't think Mathis was wrong to nix the others, it may have been how he communicated himself which left a little to be desired. In the long run, any person who chooses to be the rock for someone walking through a cancer battle, has "the right stuff".
I think fans missed the mark.. He knew to keep pushing her til she found the right one. She came and based on her face, he knew it was the one. Not controlling, just knows his partner very well.
I will say thatif he wasn't there than she wouldn't have found that perfect dress. And on the others she wasn't smiling as big as she was on this one, and i think he might have noticed.
That's what I always say. If he just reflected her opinion, she would have stopped at the first one. IDK why commenters think that the entourage is not allowed an opinion. In many times, it is the entourage that encourages the bride to keep looking that helps her find her perfect dress.
They should limit the amount people that the Bride can bring with her. With having so many people can be a problem, because the Bride is trying to please everyone.
What a warrior princess! And her fiancé could have run for the hills when she was diagnosed. To include him was HER choice - not the audience’s! And he earned it as they have been through a lot together. A cancer survivor myself, I am thrilled they are starting their life together united in every way possible! ❤️💍❤️
Consider it a blessing you did not stay with him further. Men by statistics cheat even before their terminal spouse passes or divorce them. Women are more likely to stay. Consider these 2 years as you stepping on poop 💩 better men out there he was a rotten egg
imho, a groom can support his bride on their wedding day by telling her SHE looks beautiful, he loves HER and likes whatever dress she's chosen. I'm concerned at the control issue popping up here.
He did what she wanted him to do - veto dresses he didn't love. And note that he loved the dress that she loved the most. Perhaps he knew her best and wanted one that was fun. And they stayed married until she died in 2018. He stayed with her when she relapsed. He stayed with her until the end. Maybe he was not as controlling as you think he was.
I paid $185 for my first wedding dress and My ex husband loved it. My mother bought my 2nd wedding dress for my current marriage at a at a vintage store and it was $99. I did not see it until 3 days before my wedding when I tried it on. It was perfect. The dress fit my perfectly. It was from the 1920's My current husband LOVED it. and so did I.
I think the groom had to much of a veto power. All the dresses were really good on her but in the end she picked the one HE liked. I was expecting drama from the stylist but he was very positive
Qué hermosa novia! Qué sonrisa tan preciosa! Esa chica debería ser modelo de Vestidos de Novia, todos se le ven increíbles! Muchas felicidades desde Monterrey, Nuevo León, México 🇲🇽
The groom must never see dress before, if he sees her un ANY dress the day of the wedding he won't thinking "oh there are better dresses I don't like this one" he will be emotioned by the magic moment and that's it... if he sees before then there's not a surprise anymore
I'm sorry but the groom should never be in the salon where the bride is trying on dresses. She looked beautiful in everything. So happy she's inremission
In the first place I don't think that the bride should have brought the groom to her appointment even though he was there with you through your fight with cancer
Sonya is gorgeous. But I agreed with the groom. He was right which helped her not settle and she finally got the one that was best for her. Moral of the story, don’t settle. You can do better.
Im sorry but why would you need a stylist?? I understand celebs need help but a normal person? Yea..no Anyway SPOILER ALERT . . . RIP Young lady. Im so sorry! You fought a good battle! Sleep easy beautiful❤
1 area.. he shouldn't have any day so.. but since he was funding $$$$ it.. she had no choice. Gives be an idea 💡 of what their marriage 👰 💍 will be like
He is not controlling. He has veto power, which is what he did. And noticed that her favorite dress was his favorite too. Therefore, he did what he was there to do. Are you saying that she shouldn't have brought him? Or that she shouldn't have married him? She knows him better than you do. He stood by her when she got cancer. And he buried her in 2018 with love. Maybe your chairside marriage counseling isn't as good as you think it is.
@catladyfromky4142 He has veto power over someone else's wardrobe? That's controlling. Listen to him direct her to, "Turn around.". No please. No thank you. Just an order. He's extremely controlling with his behavior and his statements. Sadly, you fail to see it.

WAY TOOOOOOOOOO
MANY PEOPLE!!!
What a wonderful, supportive family! I didn't consider the groom overly picky, he just did not like some dresses. Adorable couple, and the dress was perfect for this beautiful bride.
She looks sooo good in all of the dresses.. but the one she chose totally makes her glow.
That's a truly happy bride.
This one made me cry when y’all put the veil on her. She’s so pretty. I hope they last forever.
She passed away in 2018. She and Mathis had one child via surrogate. She was a dentist but also seemed like a lovely person inside and out. Cancer sucks.
@@catladyfromky4142oh noooo
@@catladyfromky4142 Oh darn. Her smile, her skin. I was really rooting for her.
@@catladyfromky4142Thanks for the update. I'm sadden to hear of her passing. She seemed like a lovely person. 😢
@@catladyfromky4142 omggg no that’s so sad 😢 she was beautiful & seemed like such a sweet person
Bless him, he just didn't want her to settle.
I remember this episode from long ago. She’s beautiful because she shines from within.
She could model wedding gowns 💚
Too many people is never a good thing. It overpowers the brides thoughts and opinions. But they were a very respectful and kind group. It was Mathew who was the one who mattered to her.
She looked beautiful in every dress she came out in, I shed a tear
Waaaay too many people… I’m surprised the store doesn’t limit the number of people. 13 is a bit much.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU A ZILLION %. Who's gonna be surprised when she walks down the aisle??? NOONE!!! SMH
13 people is ridiculous
Well, she stared death in the face so I'm sure her family wanted to spend that time with her. I get it.
The bride is stunning. She's so beautiful.
The finished look was beautiful on her. Congratulations on your marriage and blessings for both of you.
ok this is the first fiancé i actually like, she’s more than deserving to having her dream dress & man .
the whole family is so supportive. wow they love everthing she likes.
The final gown was stunning on her. I don't think Mathis was wrong to nix the others, it may have been how he communicated himself which left a little to be desired. In the long run, any person who chooses to be the rock for someone walking through a cancer battle, has "the right stuff".

R.I.P. Dr. Sonya 😇
They should limit the amount people that the Bride can bring with her. With having so many people can be a problem, because the Bride is trying to please everyone.
She is beautiful!! May GOD bless this couple, and this Family!!❤
What a stunning bride and with an amazing support network!
Beautiful bride! I hope you have many happy years together 🥂 ❤
She had 7 years of marriage with Mathis. She died in 2018.
@@catladyfromky4142That is so sad but at least they loved each other until the end.
I think we always assume the brides stylist is the one who will cause drama. I'm glad she found a dress she loved as well as the groom.

Bless her heart she’s lucky, I was diagnosed just shy of 2 years into my relationship and he left me
Just means someone better is going to come along who is worthy of you 😊
Consider it a blessing you did not stay with him further. Men by statistics cheat even before their terminal spouse passes or divorce them. Women are more likely to stay. Consider these 2 years as you stepping on poop 💩 better men out there he was a rotten egg
He would be useless later in life anyway. Weak man. The most important is that you're alive
I am so sorry you were disappointed but so glad you found out in time. Blessings for your health and future happiness.
She's incredibly fortunate in so many ways and her group is lovely but nonetheless 13 people is too many!

When was this episode shot then
@@bobbymenon4057 Most of the episodes we get online are ten years old or more.
Let’s be honest: this bride is stunning and would look amazing in any dress in the store!
Sadly the bride passed away from cancer in May 2018.
😢
I paid $185 for my first wedding dress and My ex husband loved it. My mother bought my 2nd wedding dress for my current marriage at a at a vintage store and it was $99. I did not see it until 3 days before my wedding when I tried it on. It was perfect. The dress fit my perfectly. It was from the 1920's My current husband LOVED it. and so did I.
That is definitely the perfect dress for her!
This bride could look good in a paper bag!
"Let's do the Frosting!" PLEASE! Enough of that Jack crap already!
If I renewed my vows my husband wouldn’t be there!
I liked the first dress-----------but the man had to interfere. Always leave men at home.
He didn't do anything wrong. The bride wanted him there. Are you saying that your opinion matters more than hers?
Stunning bride
The more people you bring with you the more opinions you have to take into consideration. That would drive me nuts!
Damn, she's gorgeous and looked great in everything. Dopey groom kinda didn't know how great she looked in all of them.
She’s beautiful
I did not care for any of them.
Maan Bye 👋!! He wouldn't be picking out my dress.. 😡
The groom wasn't wrong in his opinion.... Not one bit...
The groom was trying to make it all about him.
It's like they both new the dress was right.
I agree. Although I really liked the first one. But I can see how the one they picked was less structured and more fun.
I think the groom had to much of a veto power. All the dresses were really good on her but in the end she picked the one HE liked. I was expecting drama from the stylist but he was very positive

NEVER EVER BRING YOUR GROOM TO YOUR WEDDING DRESS APPOINTMENT!!!! IT RUINS THE SURPRISE ON HIS FACE, ON THE WEDDING DAY!!!!
I would never take a future husband along when looking for a wedding gown.
The groom must never see dress before, if he sees her un ANY dress the day of the wedding he won't thinking "oh there are better dresses I don't like this one" he will be emotioned by the magic moment and that's it... if he sees before then there's not a surprise anymore
I REALLY wish they would STOP using the phrase "Jack you up". Why not "pretty you up" or "fancy you up" or "let's put the icing on"???
I agree
I'm sorry but the groom should never be in the salon where the bride is trying on dresses. She looked beautiful in everything. So happy she's inremission
She died in 2018 from cancer. She was a dentist and had one child via surrogate with Mathis. She seemed like a wonderful person.
@catladyfromky4142 I'm sorry to hear she'd passed away. She did seem like a nice person. Cancer sucks.

Gorgeous!
I agreed with Mathis.

I have never seen so many unflattering dresses as in this episode. The bride had a great budget and figure and that s the best they could do for her.
