- The Legend of Heroes is a drama based on novel by Chinese writer Jin Yong (Louis Cha). It’s the first part of the Condor Trilogy, followed by “The Return of the Condor Heroes” and “The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber.” The story is set in imperial China during the wars between the Jurchen-led Jin Empire and the predominantly ethnic Han Song Empire. It follows the adventures of Guo Jing, a slow-witted child who rises to prominence in the martial arts world with the help of talented masters and a bit of luck. Meanwhile, Yang Kang, another character, plots with the Jurchens to conquer his native land, the Song dynasty

I'm watching it and it's been so good so far
So far so good. I'm enjoying it. Now I hope The Return of the Condor Heroes 2024 is back on track. I haven't heard of anything from them since they've supposedly wrapped up filming already. Not sure why they haven't aired it yet.
HK-TVB is the best.
Just watched the first 5 min. Saving it until all the episodes are out. Haven't watched Vengo Gao since Eternal Love TMOPB. I'm currently watching The Double, Joy of Life 2, and The Tale of Rose 😅.

Saw this new remake and looks decent. The cinematography is towards movie quality standard. There are a few minor changes to the '83 version, which is a good thing because too many remakes look like a copy of the original script. So far though, I don't think this remake will inject fresh view of the classic tale like the 2022 Side Story of Fox Volant did to the classic tale of The Young Flying Fox (飛狐外傳). The 2022 Fox Volant series will likely be the classic TV show for the Flying Fox novel.
28.06 update: Saw 22 episodes. Actors for Hong Qi Gong, Huang Yao Shi, and Ouyang Feng roles don't have the personalities and charisma for the characters they portrayed. The trailers show them in younger years. That storyline could be a better fit. Zhou Yi Wei (周一围) was perfect in 2017 The Great Shaolin (少林问道) series. Highly recommended.
