Hey guys, I am so glad that everyone is here seeking the Lord. I do agree with the the book of John being a great credible source to seek and find truth in the light and face of Jesus Christ. However, I also believe that the bible is the LIVING word of God and not merely another book dependent on translations and finite languages. God created all things and he created the many languages when he scattered the people in Genesis (chp11). If God created all these and told Abraham that the gospel shall be made known to ALL nations even unto the ends of the earth. How shall we say that one language is the gospel we must swear by. The message we cling to and are saved by is God himself... Jesus Christ alone (once again you can’t go wrong with John). But how could a Native American women in the 1800s receive Christ? Or even someone today lacking an english education? God who created all things is everlasting. These things on earth, including the tongues of man(languages), are finite. The cool thing is: God uses all things for his glory. Even a discussion like this is just hot air, but what I am speaking is the truth that is written in the Bible (God’s word). “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever(Isaiah 40:8). In Galatians Paul explains what a false teacher is and gives credibility as to why the message he is preaching is not his own, but the same message of Jesus Christ and therefore showing his credibility. That being said, there is great things to be found when seeking the original text and language of the Hebrew scriptures and so on, but the SUBSTANCE of our message, our faith, and the entire Bible is Christ Jesus. Ultimately I definitely encourage you and ask you friends to join me in searching the scriptures for yourself with earnest prayer for God to lift the veil from our eyes so that we might see the fullness of his glory in truth. I challenge to compare Paul’s message to the other books in the Bible and I particularly love Romans Chapter 8. Just remember how we were saved: By faith and Grace alone. I got really into studying and wondering, ’wait, which translation is the “right one” and seeking with pure intentions. I was also learning Spanish at the time and still am. I came to that realization of how God uses all languages and people for good and for his glory, despite our finite flaws. It is amazing how these translators worked so hard to provide us with the word of God in a language that we could understand and seek for ourselves, no longer relying on priests to read the latin vulgate. Instead we rely on the great high priest (Hebrews 4:14-16) Jesus. Search the scriptures for yourself. Listening to John Piper is great, for he preaches from the word of God. Ultimately brother, I will be praying for you and I hope you do the same. I pray the God would give you grace and open up your heart and mind and busy life to allow you to spend more precious time with him in his word. Prayer is huge and I have seen this in own life in every season whether I am busy, close, or distant from God. He is always with us and he hears our prayers. Have faith and may God’s will be done in our lives. I just wanted to share the truth with those who are seeking. Always truth in love. Dannyboyz A LOT of people (myself included) have this issue. Satan hates when you sit and actually read the word of God. My advice is to never read in bed - try sitting at a desk, actively circling some key words and passages (active reading helps you stay awake), and try not to read when you’re tired or it’s near your usual nap/bed time. I also recommend an audio Bible - I use this while I’m driving or doing other tasks so I can still have my Bible time even when I can’t physically sit and read. Hope this helps!
People don't have time to read their Bibles, but they have time to go on social media and see everybody's posts. They also post trivial things. Can't they use some of that time to read a chapter a day at least?

When I’m busy cooking which takes me at 1-2 hours a day when I get home I choose a chapter in my bible app and just let it play on its own and I listen. I guess it’s good to multitask. Realistically it’s better to do both but spiritually we do need to sacrifice ourselves for our Lord, for our God... in this case to read his word.
I am at a point in life where I have more and more priorities to get done or achieve, but this video did explain clearly on how I can spend my time with the Most High! Thank you Pastor John, God bless!
Haha John... Going to bed earlier and waking up earlier is not always a choice God allows, God does require x amount of sleep to perform for him in the next day. I only get 3 1/2 hours of sleep each night, any earlier and it could be medically unsafe LOL! Yes it was maybe 4 1/2 hours, I could survive the pain, but their has to be a limit otherwise a person wont be able to perform by Gods design.

But sometime God does call us to be busy there are alot of verses to support this. Just about everybody in the Bible is called to be busy. I think the question that the person is asking only mildly usefull and actually kind of pointless, because although I would magicly like for there to simply be more time in the day, its just not the reality that God has given us. However... I think one thing I am also wondering of is I think this is also a result of previous sin which pulls us further away from God. God might be calling us in a season of work right now, but sometime God puts us in seasons of less work and focus on his word. If we fail to focus on his word when he had previously placed us in that season... UHHH OHHHHH That is going to put us in a really bad situation.. because now we are not prepaired for the season of work. Satan LOVES THIS. There is your TRAP! Maybe plan to figure out how your going to finish your current season God has put you in first as fast as possible. Curious what are others opinions on this strategy?

If I want to sleep, and I can't... I read my Bible. I often find myself, getting drowsy. Is that bad? Seriously, I have done this.

You can order your groceries online and pick them up at places like Walmart and target, it saves a lot of time!
