You people make me sick, you pussies talk big but never sacrificed anything. Have some respect, he did a job and he did it well. Let's be clear, the USMC gave him 100% of his pension and benefits. They did not discard him. Due to the multiple sclerosis, his ability to hold and fire a weapon was taken from him. Secondly, his severe scarring from the explosion he was in, led to his skin constantly ripping open and bleeding profusely when he tried to wrap the sling around his arm. This and the severity of his MS, forced the Marine doctors to medically discharge him.

Amazing how people overlook the fact that his last deployment to Vietnam ended in a train crash. In the post crash fire, he was burned over 65% of his body. He is also credited with going back into the fire to rescue two fellow marines. After returning to the USA and during his long recovery, hecontinued his duties in the marine corp establishing the marine scout sniper school. The burns effected his body so badly that his love of rifle competition was sadly cut short, as just the act of putting on a shooting jacket for competition was extremely painful. He was a world record holder for multiple shooting events. This is why he took up shark fishing!
