However...Those bombs were made specifically for radiation. They have insane insane amounts of radiation, that is mostly their purpose.

Hoping that you and your family get through whatever problems are going on, I really enjoy your channel. Sending you positive vibes from the US. Hope that you also enjoy the show, it’s been a really great adaptation.
I have recognized the Junk Jet before it shoots, just after it`s load sound. The Syringer was not looks like the one in the game but it acceptable since it made in a Vault. The big aircraft is the Prydwen from Fallout 4. It is one of most famous things in the game.
Young girl playing Janey was fantastic in that opening. Her fear was palpable. And Ella is fantastic as Lucy. Her American accent is amazing. Should be she's practiced it since 15 years old. Multiple nukes on a population center like LA isn't a strategic strike, that's a 'I'm going to destroy you' strike.
But don't forget, the nukes in the Fallout universe don't work exactly like they do in real life. They are made to be less destructive overall but just put out a ton more radiation. Hence why Ghouls are a thing, mutants etc. (also because it makes for cool characters and enemies lol) And that child actress was SO good in that small role. The first 7 minutes of this show are some of the best TV I've seen in the past 20 years imo. You can see the fear in her face (same with Walton of course) and the music that kicks in after the shockwave hits them along with the slower motion of the scene (and the skyscrapers just collapsing in the background etc.) are all just incredible choices to show. And the rest of the episode wasn't bad either :D

I am only at episode 2 because I don't want to rush through the first season. I love Fallout (played 1 - 4 and new vegas, have 76 on steam but didnt play it yet) and this looks so good and they got the details 95% right. The only thing I would have added is a 2 minute introduction like in Fallout 4 to summarize the pre-war world. I think Fallout 4, when starting a new game, did it perfectly. For people who don't know the lore, I think that would have helped. After all, War, war never changes
So far I've seen 3 episodes and I'm loving it! I've played Fallout 1, 2, and 3, back in the day. Unfortunately I never had the time to check out 4 and NV. I'm glad you guys are reacting to this and I'm looking forward to the next reaction(s).
My favorite gag of the series so far is Lucy's "Okey dokey" being applied to increasingly desperate and alien circumstances. The New California Republic had its roots in the first Fallout game when you rescue a girl named Tandi from a gang of raiders. NCR as a faction came to prominence in Fallout 2 where they were a ruling government, which then went on to expand Eastward, which is why you meet them in New Vegas. I highly recommend going back and playing the original games, but probably buy them on GOG, as they usually run with fewer issues than the Steam versions.
I'm SO glad you two have at least played the games, sure the other reactions of the "non-fans" are fine but I don't enjoy them as much as people who at least know the basics and things like the Overseer or Stimpaks, always a pleasure watching your channel
Kat: "im a loot goblin" Me too, ma'am.. me too 😂 Played fallout 4, 4 times... last time i was 80 hours in even before going to find minutemen 😂 Ps, hope your child gets better guys... love from Iran
Walton Goggins just knocked it out of the park with his roles in this series. I ended up catching the flu so I watched the whole series in one sitting.
The gun shooting doll parts and stuff is a reference to Fallout 3 & 4 which had guns that could launch junk items. The Rock-It Launcher and the Junk Jet.
You guys seemed to really enjoy this. Knowing what is to come... i cant wait to watch the rest of these reactions. The show is really really good and it did fallout very very well.
I love that every reaction I've watched so far, people always hand wave the scars and other peculiarities as being the result of the famine. Which is believable, and it isn't like vault dwellers haven't devolved into cannibals in the past games. It's just funny seeing the same thought process as my own in every single reaction.
Looking forward as an old gamer fart, will watch soon. I understand it will need to attract an average audience, I'm quite good at ignoring stupid modern days obligations in TV shows, I think it will be good. Watched the intro of it, this has always been such a strong theme. Hoping for epic "leaving the vault" imagery.
Those bombs are about standard US yield, somewhere in the 100 kiloton range. Going by their close proximity and grouping of four, probably launched from a MIRV in orbit. First one was 10 miles away give or take based on flash to bang, yield based off illumination time. At least according to my nuke yield calculators.
I'm pretty sure in the games just like the show, there's stuff they can consume that helps keep them from going feral. I could have sworn is was straight up radioactive stuff, but maybe I'm mis-remembering.
Yay looting! Fo3 I felt bad leaving junk behind so FO4 I leaned in haha. I stole _every_ single thing that could be looted from the Institute because I wasn'tsure if I'dget another chance. I imagined my kid having a conversation with his assistant about how his mom has problems, cuz even the ash trays, and who steals ash trays??? I only did the full campaign once siding with minutemen and railroad. Mostly I use a mod that lets you start wherever and skip the story just enjoying the world. Also a mod to tweak survival difficulty to something in between normal had mode and stock survival for more immersion without quite so much tedium.
Kat is a murder hobo? Lol would never have guessed. Edit: their was a full suit that was practical. Apparently it was 7'2" tall like 2.1 meters and weighed more than 120lbs.
Fallout 4 is my 2nd most played game of all time with 500 hours, and in those 500h I managed to completely finish the game ONCE. I have started so many different playthroughs, with mods, etc over the time, so I absolutely relate to Kat
I played through Fallout 3, and the first time played Brotherhood of Steel, then Enclave, and the third time Regulators, After that I always played the Regulators, because they were out there among the people who needed them, while the other two isolated themselves and seemed to think the wastelanders not worth their time.
The credits are still part of the episode as they are connected to each episode they are attached to. You two are the only ones I’ve seen mention the credit graphics. ♥️♥️
If it hasn't been mentioned yet or you haven't been told yet this show takes place after the games about 10yrs after fallout 4. Bombs dropped in 2077 and this show takes place in 2296.
In the Fallout universe microprocessors were never invented. Instead, people focused on increasing the use of atomic energy. That’s how you end up with the retro futuristic technologies. In regards to the guy that got shot with the dolls leg… In the game, you can craft a gun called a Junk Gun. It uses the worthless things you find laying around as ammunition.
Commenting for the algorithm an so glad you picked up this series. Pleasantly surpised to findout you both have played at least to an exploring level! Hope you 2 and the new bebe are well, cheers!
You mention in the intro that everything in the games counts you believe, yes that's true. This is set after the events of fallout 4 so in universe cannon anything game wise could be featured.
New Vegas is the only one I have played almost fully. I never got to play any others except a very small amount of time playing Fallout4. I don’t know everything about the other Fallout games other than New Vegas, but I loved this series. And I know next season is going to be New Vegas so maybe I will recognize more things next season. I am not a nitpicky type about continuity I just accept things as they are, but I think they did this very well.
9:00 Outrun what? The radiation? The gammy burst is the bright light that happens as the bombs go off. It travels at the speed of light. Everyone at that party has already taken a lethal dose.
The initial explosion basically wipes out anything within the immediate pressure blast radius. The gamma burst is actually only about half the blast radius so adds little to the immediate kill (everything is dead anyway), but it serves to irradiate debris, which is blasted into the sky as a mushroom cloud and begins to drift downwind, gradually settling to earth. The result is a slowly spreading downwind tail of lethal fallout. It's radioactive gas, vapour and dust that gets into your lungs and irradiates you from the inside. It further contaminates water and food supplies and keeps killing any living thing for months, years, maybe centuries. So yeah, if you're not instantly dead, run, and hope that you can get out from under it to clean ground.
What happened to Vault 32's crops? Why didn't they asked for help from 33? Maybe they tried to solve it by trading with the outside world? What we know for the marriage they asked for seeds...
I wonder what experiment was in vault 33,32,31... What if DNA related? What if the 3 higher up only gave their assessment, points but the PipBoy, a Vault Tec software decides pairings, who marries who.

I hadn't visited your channel in a year or two. Goddamn. How are you both even more beautiful?
I'm SO glad you two have at least played the games, sure the other reactions of the "non-fans" are fine but I don't enjoy them as much as people who at least know the basics and things like the Overseer or Stimpaks, always a pleasure watching your channel
Kat: "im a loot goblin"
Me too, ma'am.. me too 😂
Played fallout 4, 4 times... last time i was 80 hours in even before going to find minutemen 😂
Ps, hope your child gets better guys... love from Iran
Stay safe, friend ❤️
Walton Goggins just knocked it out of the park with his roles in this series. I ended up catching the flu so I watched the whole series in one sitting.
Hope u feel better soon
all 3 of the main leads were immense
The gun shooting doll parts and stuff is a reference to Fallout 3 & 4 which had guns that could launch junk items. The Rock-It Launcher and the Junk Jet.
I remember the one you get on Nuka Cola Island that shoots bowling balls, but I did not remember this particular one
Kat
You guys seemed to really enjoy this. Knowing what is to come... i cant wait to watch the rest of these reactions. The show is really really good and it did fallout very very well.
Its on point in every single aspect. The perfect example for a show like this done right.
This is the reaction I've been waiting for :D
I love that every reaction I've watched so far, people always hand wave the scars and other peculiarities as being the result of the famine. Which is believable, and it isn't like vault dwellers haven't devolved into cannibals in the past games. It's just funny seeing the same thought process as my own in every single reaction.
You're the only people to make that connection with The Room when Max was talking XD not even my irl friends I watched it with got it, lmao.
This looks like it will be fun. Looking forward to watching it with you guys.
the T-60 armor in the series is both practical and CGI
That's why they look so good! I knew they couldn't be 100% practical
@@PortgasDAce-wt2qu 😮❤
@@PortgasDAce-wt2qu😮
I'm on my 3rd watch-through of the series, and I've seen multiple react channels going through the series hahaha can't get enough
Looking forward as an old gamer fart, will watch soon. I understand it will need to attract an average audience, I'm quite good at ignoring stupid modern days obligations in TV shows, I think it will be good.
Watched the intro of it, this has always been such a strong theme.
Hoping for epic "leaving the vault" imagery.
finally youtubers that play fallout..
I first remember Mr. Goggins from the original Shanghai Noon... man I can't believe that movie is so old now.
When they drop the big one hope your in the blast range. Atoms brake apart so fast you never feel pain. Good luck.
generally ghouls in fallout become feral over a long period of time, and they usually attack anyone but feral and normal ghouls.
I'm pretty sure in the games just like the show, there's stuff they can consume that helps keep them from going feral. I could have sworn is was straight up radioactive stuff, but maybe I'm mis-remembering.
Loveliest reactors IN THE WORLD
Yay looting!
Righteous murder hobo loot goblin with a completionist-gene, indeed
I love that y'all are doing this show. It's a blast!. Fallout 4 is my favorite of the series
The Ghoul is using VATS with the Bloody Mess perk lol
Amazon definitely grabbed the bloody mess perk. When I saw the gun through the head I knew they were gonna do it justice.
Fallout 4 is my 2nd most played game of all time with 500 hours, and in those 500h I managed to completely finish the game ONCE. I have started so many different playthroughs, with mods, etc over the time, so I absolutely relate to Kat
They made one practical suit the stuntmen wore that weighed 150 pounds.
I played through Fallout 3, and the first time played Brotherhood of Steel, then Enclave, and the third time Regulators, After that I always played the Regulators, because they were out there among the people who needed them, while the other two isolated themselves and seemed to think the wastelanders not worth their time.
22:54 funny detail, she patched herself up same way jinx fixed her leg back in arcane :D (ppl probably already said she is the voice actress of jinx)
This shows made me want to play the game again. I Haven’t played since launch and finishing it.
Love the little nods to the games.
The credits are still part of the episode as they are connected to each episode they are attached to.
You two are the only ones I’ve seen mention the credit graphics.
♥️♥️
Fallout 4 was awesome! I binge watched Fallout and thoroughly enjoyed it, they nailed it. Love it. :)
Like the new setup guys. Looks good
If it hasn't been mentioned yet or you haven't been told yet this show takes place after the games about 10yrs after fallout 4.
The new California Republic was founded in Fallout 1 a major player in Fallout 2 and a major player in New Vegas
I seen it all. I loved it
The Good, the Bad, and the Ghoul. Classic.
Gotta love the Junk Jet...lol. I love that Goggins is the Ghoul....He has been such an under ratted actor for long...it is his time now.
That horse better be faster than 784 miles per hour 1261 km/h... that's the speed the nuclear blast travels
Post bombs... they could have just chest and have the horse mutate into being faster through fev/radiation 'magic'. :D
Commenting for the algorithm an so glad you picked up this series. Pleasantly surpised to findout you both have played at least to an exploring level! Hope you 2 and the new bebe are well, cheers!
By far best video game adaptation to this day!
And i think we found perfect Jonathan Majors replacement for Marvels ;D
wow this show is amazing!
You mention in the intro that everything in the games counts you believe, yes that's true. This is set after the events of fallout 4 so in universe cannon anything game wise could be featured.
I never played the games. I watched my cousin play some. I love this show
New Vegas is the only one I have played almost fully.
Love u guys!
So yeah, if you're not instantly dead, run, and hope that you can get out from under it to clean ground.
that dolls leg weapon must be a reference to a weapon in fallout 3 the rock it launcher who shoots about any scraps and things(=
They didn't recognize the junk jet? (It fires any garbage from your inventory)
Seemed familiar, but yeahh. We didn't
What happened to Vault 32's crops? Why didn't they asked for help from 33? Maybe they tried to solve it by trading with the outside world? What we know for the marriage they asked for seeds...
Here we go!
Enjoy! I’ve never played the game but enjoyed the entire series
I really wonder if Maximus's actor delivered that line like Tommy Wisseau on purpose.
Yeah that was either really awesome or really awful. I haven't decided yet. lol
Hoping you will have a good time with this show.
I wonder what experiment was in vault 33,32,31... What if DNA related? What if the 3 higher up only gave their assessment, points but the PipBoy, a Vault Tec software decides pairings, who marries who.
