Thanks! I got lucky with that streetlight, it was the only one on that road. I was just trying to get ahead of him after he got away from me in Columbus.
On the AGR...I think it depends a lot on where you are. Columbus gets about 3 a day but those are all turn jobs that work both ways. Columbus in general gets maybe 10-15 with all railroads combined.
Great video! Love the coverage of the Class 2s! I do have a question. Does the Train from Columbus go all the way to Boligee? I thought it was an Aliceville turn. Then another train would go from Aliceville to Magnolia, working the interchanges with NS at Boligee and Demopolis and CSX (Meridian & Bigbee) in Linden. Any clarification would be appreciated.
I'm pretty sure the train from Columbus goes to Boligee and back given it takes 4-5 hours to do a round trip, and he always has steel loads / scrap so that's probably interchanged with the NS. @Shortline_railfanning has some more knowledge on the operations than I do so he might be a better resource. Thanks for watching!
Okay, why did they put a nose headlight on 4056 and just leave an awkward space where the cab headlight used to be? Couldn't have just kept the original cab headlight and saved themselves some time? Also, not to mention people like me like the old Ex-CR Dash 8 cab headlights.
No this what happened 4056 came over here without that on there and it had those sunshades on the windows, then it came from mobile one day with that nose thing and the shade things off the windows so what ever they did they tried to turn it into a conrail unit, even though it’s not a conrail unit at all!
Man, that’s some good videos!!!! When I got both of 211 that day, man there were no lights in my road!!!

Great catches and awesome video
I love the horn on 4060, so much better than the K5HL variants
Love to see some Dash 8s having a Second Opportinity in Life!
I see them in mobile ala. All the time
Great Videos
Excellent video. Well done!
Like what they did . They took after the Arkansas & Missouri. 4:49
Yessir very nice catches!
How common are those dash 8s, if I ever visit that railroad I want to catch them.
Very common, they run SD40-2s from time to time but widecabs are the norm on their longer distance trains
Nice video.
Do you know how many daily trains there are?

4056 is a CW40-8 that CSX purchased new with the nose headlights, the Conrail versions had the headlights above the cab.
