either outcome of the proposal is hilarious, whether you have Saul metaphorically trying to screw Mesa Verde, or Saul presenting himself as something superior to Mesa Verde

@@sevennine2814 They both broke the law by entering that property. Jimmy's is just better at breaking the law and getting what he wants than Kim.
They purposely did this to show the contrast between the two characters. Kim struggles with her moral compass whereas Jimmy/Saul has grown deaf to his conscious, he doesn’t break a sweat if he can get what he wants. Kim tries to resist the urge to be like Jimmy but when it happens she’s clearly out of her comfort zone. Really good writing in these subtle scenes.

Jimmy is plagued by immense guilt over the fact that what got Chuck forcibly retired was his mention of the courtroom breakdown to the insurance company. The moment he found out that this was the reason for Chuck's dismissal, he threw the burden of guilt right back at Howard ("I guess...that's a cross you have to bear"). Deep down maybe he wants to push the blame onto Howard to get it off his own chest, so Howard moving on and finding acceptance reminds him of his own culpability.
Daniel Conway That’s a good point, cause it had seemed to me that Jimmy was completely numb to Chuck’s death. The S4 finale when he faked his emotion over the letter told me that he basically is void of any feeling for his brother at this point.

Kind of disappointed that this arc ended up getting abruptly after Kim quit. Don't get me wrong, the Lalo saga in the second half was far better - it's almost crazy to think this is the same season.

i love how complex BCS is. i love complex shows with complex characters. and it's hard to get that kind of shows these days. most tv shows today focused more on plots and known formulas. if u have some good shows like BCS to recommend to me, pls do!

I really did not like Jimmy´s action with bowling balls ... Howard was not saint, but this felt like kicking the guy who is already lying at ground. He was at his lowest at that time, trying to save the HHM company, coping with guilt, also he was actually trying to make peace with Jimmy. Even inviting him to work with him. I totally understood that Jimmy would not want to work with Howard due to their past, but this personal and destructive attack was nasty and uncalled for. Maybe here it is clear that Jimmy McGill is no more, Saul Goodman has fully prevailed and went to the dark side.
Bob Odenkirk said it himself. Jimmy is an old guy who never learns how to grow up.
