Nice lore video. The way how I see the Mandrills is basically like a Clan version of the Inner Sphere Houses, specifically, the Free Worlds League. Because as where most clans can be considered as an individual faction like the Successor States, Clan Fire Mandrill bares mostly of it's similarities with House Marik. As both the FWL and CFM act as a microcosm of their factions, with the Mariks having their own mini-empires like the Anduriens, Oriente, Regulus, fighting each other as where the Mandrills have individual Kindraa that act like mini-factions of their clan doing the same thing. They are also lead by one person and have had various uniforms based on their provinces and Kindraas. But yeah, I find it interesting how the Fire Mandrills are basically the Clan version of the Free Worlds League.
Yeah the Free worlds is a pretty good analogy for them. They are sorely lacking in events during the invasion and even post invasion, making possibly one of the most interesting clans kind of moot and lost in the shuffle.
@@CriticalRocket I like clan lore as it's laid out because it leaves a certain amount of open endedness with what you can do with them. It just gives you thier history and how they behave.
@@chrisgibson8863 Yeah it does work well for GM's who want to maybe craft something different for their players and create some events in clan space that usually doesn't have much happening there outside of major events like the war of reaving.
I'm thinking of painting my clan invasion Kickstarter mechs as Fire Mandrills since they have super easy paint schemes. Especially kindraa Mick-Kreese. Just prime black, paint some panels and trim red... Done.
While I'm not in favour of eliminating factions, I had no notes on the destroyed of the Fire Mandrills. Not because I hated them (I didn't), but because I dinnae see how they could hae lasted as long as they did.

fire mandrills have several totem mechs - and developed a lot of wider known and used IIC variants
By far my favourite clan!

I like the Fire Mandrill yellow and red. Big bold and out there for all to see.
Hey, thanks for doing these I have really enjoyed each one.
Glad you like them :)
