I love Lightech stuff - neat design and great quality. I think 90% of aftermarket rearsets require a hydraulic brake switch, and they all come with those generic connectors that don't seem to fit any bike. Since you're always fitting rearsets and Ducati always use the same 2 pin AMP Superseal brake switch connector, can I suggest that, rather than cutting and splicing in the old connector, you just stock up on a few 2-way Superseal connectors and a decent ratchet crimper and simply fit a new connector directly to the switch wire. That's what I've done on all my rearsets - its quicker, neater, more reliable and you don't have to be a skilled solderer. (And it means that you can refit the original switch if you ever go back to standard.)

Great point about the rear brake drag situation. I would add that many times you can't feel it drag while on the lift, won't see it happen until it gets hot when riding, then the pressure increases on its own as temp rises. I've had several Ducati's in a week where customers have caught fire for this reason. Be sure there's plenty of slack to allow for expansion when it's hot. The pedal should go down 1/8-1/4" before feeling the piston pressure to guarantee you have enough slack in it. Some Ducati's are super picky about this. Not a bad idea to add a second lock nut to the brake light switch actuating bolt to prevent the lock nut from vibrating loose. Any idea if these get lower than the oem pegs? No one seems to mention it in their vids.

I have the same rear sets for my 1098. Thinking about putting them on my v2 street fighter

Yes, carbon fiber wheels do not like heat, by heat we mean extreme heat that would be caused by a locked up rear brake.

Man that V2 is really looking good. The only thing I (the self ascribed "expert") would do differently is to install the tail straight away. With that passenger sofa and pegs still sitting there it makes it seem like you're bolting a bunch of stuff on a sport tourer. IMHO.

Well maybe my comment is a mute point. Sounds like maybe you've been saving the tail to be the big reveal 🤔?

Why don't we let there be two categories of racing? Those with and those without aero. There used to be 2T and 4T engines. There used to be prototype and CRT racing. This would give us a definitive answer if aero should be moto racing. It's hard for me to accept the simulated test results of laminar flow, when the races are in turbulent flow.
