The Myriad Celestia trailers are incredible artistically but are dense and talk in riddles. They help fill in blanks in the story or give context to characters. The last two specifically were hinting at the new planet, Penacony, and the story we'd find there. They're designed to be a bit obtuse and most people have a hard time making sense of them on first watch and sometimes they only make sense after story beats in the game. The Everflame Mansion one is particularly interesting to rewatching now that we've gone to Penacony.
Kafka has mind control powers. In the Jepello Rebellion video the string snapping is her releasing them from her control. She was drawing attention of the world's leaders in the courtroom while her allies were heading the rebellion in the background. That is why as the video progresses the city progressively gets more on fire through the windows. lol The character in the first and last in this video is named Black Swan. Her VA is Arryn Zech who voices Blake Belladonna in RWBY.
It is partly because they built the foundation back in Honkai Impact 3rd. There were a lot of questions involving civilizations that never meet the honkai, what other godly beings exists, and etc set up as HI3rd went on but they never got to it due to focus on defeating the Honkai. HSR focus a lot more on this aspect instead of only the Honkai and provide more understanding about the system for the Imaginary Tree that governs the Honkai multiverse as the plot moves forward.
@@DR_REDACTED It is more that the ''important'' characters in Genshin has not even shown, characters like Varka, Alice, Gold, Boreas, Barbaloth, The Foul, Tsaritsa... and a lot more that we literally know nothing but he have a ton of things about Xingqiu, Dori or Diona. In HSR they put a lot more investment in important characters but it too dense that if you know nothing u'll not get anything in these kind of videos. I'm not sure who keeps recommending Myriad Celestia trailers to reactors who don't play the game; I applaud you for attempting to decipher something comprehensible from them, but they are meant as fillers for ongoing storyline/upcoming storyline that requires context. To an outsider, it is just artistic babble. I wish people would keep this in mind when recommending content. Haha, we did enjoy them. Just wish we understood more. Maybe people suggest to see if there is anything we can decipher from these and our theories on it 🤔
all of these are more or less meant to extend the world building that's actually present in the game (specifically at the time of their release), but it also makes the trailers rather detached from each other - the first trailer shows a selection of the aeons, basically the gods for various aspects of the setting - the second is the backstory for a fleet of super ships called the Xianzhou Alliance, as well as introduce ship's leader (and yes, those were name + epithet for each) - the third is Kafka having a bit of a lark orchestrating that whole process with her mind control, showing off the Stellaron Hunters' members and what they've done before we met them - the fourth is a showcase for various dragon avatars of an aeon called the Permanence, one of which is a travel companion to the player - the fifth is a cloud knight apprentice, Yanqing, telling a swordmaster he met about his motivation to keep going, not knowing she is the previous champion he mentioned - the sixth is basically an in-universe ad for the Intergalactic Peace Corporation, who form the basis of interplanetary economy in the setting, and some of whom you butt heads with - the seventh was an introduction to Huohuo, a scaredy cat who got dragged into a job to exorcise spirits and such and her coworkers - the eighth is the story of Ruan Mei, a genius biologist who seems to be out to make herself an aeon (as mentioned before, basically a god of a specific domain) - the ninth was the first presentation of the Annihilation Gang, adversaries for a new planet the player goes to, who plan to kill various others who show up there for a big celebration - the final trailer was indeed the return of the fortune teller from the first, Black Swan, who travels through memories to collect them for the god of memories
These trailers are about lore and are very tied to events in the game at the time they're released. It's really hard to make sense of most part of it without knowing about the game. The first video was showing the Aeons, they're like gods and kind of influence their concepts of all the universe. The first video goes in detail about the 7 main Aeons and barely mentions the lesser, but these 7 Aeons (Destruction, Hunt, Erudition, Nihility, Abundance, Preservation, Harmony) govern the path that the characters follow ingame and defines their style of gameplay. But there are characters that follow an Aeon in lore and have abilities tied to a different path for gameplay reasons, like the one from the first and last trailer: Black Swan. She is a memokeeper and is tied to Fuli, the aeon of Remembrance, but ingame her path is Nihility, which is focused mostly on debuffs and/or damage over time. The Permanence is also one of these minor paths, very tied to the Vidyadhara, a race with a long lifespam that keep reincarnating after their time, living many different lives through the times. The mortal dragons sent by the aeon are their Elders, who are something like guardians of their people and keep passing the title along.
Not blaming you in the slightiest for being lost with these trailers, even for some players is a bit difficult to keep track or remember what it was said on them because they are not only quite long but talk in riddles or terms only people invested can understand. Plus, they do not talk about just one planet, faction or gruop or characters, and some of them do not connect with the other. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy them, Honkai Star Rail is a fascinating and big universe with amazing and interesting characters and factions, makes you want to know more about everything (even the stupid corporation add had a lot of interesting lore, and was really well done)-

Long is also one of the Aeon, but is confirmed to have passed away, most probably splitting themselves into the Long Scions(high Dragon elders). 5th one is about the discussion of Jingliu and Yanqing about the Ideals of Swords. 6th is promotion of IPC recruitments program, this came out before a character of IPC released as playabls character. 7th is about a newly recruited Judge of Ten Lord Comission(basically they deal with soul of the dead) Huo Huo, and "Tail" is recapping her first day at workplace to grow her some guts since Huo Huo is scaredly cat. 8th is about Ruan Mei and her pondering of what life is and the Marvel of it, the community theorized that she wante dyo become an Aeon. 9th is about Annihilation gang future plans plotting to set things on fire in the name of Nanook the Aeon of Destruction. 10th is about Black Swan, she is a "memo keeper", basically she can manipulye Memories, and in the vid she explore the guy's memory to see the owner of that male up thing(I dunno the name, like bruh).

The funny thing about the villain trailer for Duke Inferno is that it makes he look powerful and intimidating, but the truth is he's a chump. In our first encounter with him, another character named Dr. Ratio makes him look like a fool. And in the Black Swan trailer, the tarot card representing Duke Inferno burns to ash because HE GOT KILLED OFFSCREEN. Wasn't even good enough to be a Saturday morning cartoon villain, just a one-shot character.

@@Link-kr2bc even with probably IPC missinformation, you still says wrong. They said Ifrit is dead (which is hard to believe, even if he died pretty sure he can appear again), but others was split and run. So they will appear. At least Akash for sure since his target is "Harmony".
7:53 The name on the right side is the name of the ship they command, in this case Jing Yuan is the Arbiter-General of the Luofu. It's a shame you guys didn't get to Sparkle's Myriad Celestia trailer, her stuff is crazy.
The trailer with Kafka, she literally was mind controlling the judges in her trial while her teammates were destroying the planet by inciting a rebellion. Completely faking her entire trial for funzies. Then after she snapped the threads, she allowed them to wake up and realize what had happened right before the robot, Sam, blew them up and busted Kafka out. Playing with her food indeed lol. They DID just drop a new one like a couple days ago. So eventually youll have to check it out. I also want to recommend the animated shorts. There's only 3 of them, but I think you'll enjoy them a lot.
the difference between these teasers and Genshin teasers is that while those of Genshin focus on the characters themselves and specifically on their story quest that is launched together with them (and once a year the plot of the new region) The Star Rail ones show worldbuilding that isn't in the game, which I think is a shame, I would much prefer it if I witnessed everything that was shown in the teasers in the game instead of just watching a video However, I also understand that Star Rail only has 10 maps per "planet" and this limits their storytelling while Genshin has an entire open world to fill with stories and interactions
Hurray! I was really waiting for a video from you with a reaction to these videos! hooray hooray ! Gorgeous!!! I am now after a tooth operation. It's a little hard to smile. But thank you very much for the good mood. The first video that you watched. They are something like cosmic deities that keep the universe in order. It's very beautiful and creepy!
Nice reaction .When I watched you just now, I noticed that Black Swan's voice sounded like chibi the harmony As if they were the same person. It is important for those who play the game , hypotheses, etc
About Kafka admitting everyhing... but she didn't? It pretty much gone: "It didn't happened like that... but we took Stellaron." "Actually proud of that one!" "It was you guys who done it, but we took Stellaron" "That was mostly you and your Annihilation Gang buddies... but I admit it, game is over anyway."
There's a new one that came out recently you can react to it as well or save it for a next batch but as these take some time to come out you'd have to wait a while to make a new batch.
Don't feel bad about having no idea what's going on in these because the Myriad Celestia Trailers were all by design meant to provide background lore and context to storylines and characters that are already inside the game's story. Weirdly enough even though the word "Trailer" is in their title they're not really meant for marketing or teasing the game's story towards non-players of HSR. So anyone who hasn't played the game or knows nothing about the story and characters understandably will be totaly lost watching these.
ngl it was funny to watch you guys being confused throughout 30 minutes of this, ahahah. as a lot of people mentioned before - these "trailers" are meant to be more like an addition to the main story. hoyo usually release those when the new character, or event, or another type of content is dropped, so dont worry about not understanding shit xd. for example, this IPC intergalactic propaganda ad was released with the new (at that time) character, Topaz, whos working for this organisation. so basically, hoyo just helped us to understand more ab her environment, how she does her job and etc etc.. and thats pretty much the recipe for every clip that u saw. to properly feel and get the idea of whats going on - you need to play the game or at least know some basic lore related stuff. thats why i was also confused why people recommended these to you. but ANYWAYS! thank you for trying to sit through all of it and not lose your brains, cuz it IS a total gibberish outside the context. you guys truly are the greatest, ahah! will wait for another honkai reaction from you
Hehehe, these were very interesting, Also, yes, Honkai, Genshin and Star Rail are all by the Same Company, but not necessarily the same People. By the way, how about reacting to all the Reverse 1999 Trailers next at some point too?
When it comes to Hoyo trailers, they really just make these for those that are following the games as these videos release. So no surprise you have no idea what’s going on as it wasn’t meant for newcomers that have no knowledge of their games. And the lore is very vast in this despite it not being older than Genshin. But I feel like that’s to be expected with Sci-Fi stuff and it can feel very confusing if you don’t get the terminology the first time around. But I’m pretty sure the stories themselves are not very complex as the lore and can be followed as simply as Genshin’s. I just expect a few details to be missed since you guys do stories in parts, and not in one arc.
I don't know if they play Honkai Star Rail or not but maybe they don't and they just Reaction! Because it seems like they don't understand the plot or know the characters in the game
I'm about as lost as you guys, but the visuals do look great. That's the only thing that's good so far with HSR minus bad world-building and badly/conveniently told stories and character relationships. People will say otherwise because they like the game and want to defend everything, but that's my honest opinion even if I'm enjoying the gameplay and been playing it since day 1. Generally, nothing in HSR had any real proper context even after you've played through the entire story of each planet. Almost everything that got vaguely told in these, the game hasn't even made it known yet or even mentioned anything about them. Luofo, the chinese planet, the game never even mentioned that there are more than one ship beyond this one ship that we can freely travel currently. Giving more unknown words and places and never giving the players any proper explanation, kafka interrogation trailer there was a good example; intentionally confusing everyone via the lack of information when it's incredibly important for just the basic world-building to at least get a proper explanation, the writer has the habit of intentionally withholding world building and hide it in places in the open world when HSR isn't an open world game. You have to play the game, talk to random NPC, and find collectible text to read to figure that out. I can hardly say that's good writing since HSR collectively also like to be all over the place with these trailers as well loool.
"Luofo, the chinese planet, the game never even mentioned that there are more than one ship beyond this one ship that we can freely travel currently." I know for a fact that this is a lie. There are multiple characters who straight up tell you that they migrated from other ships -- and it's part of the main story, not random NPCs. That kinda puts the rest of your remarks into question.
Are you sure you’ve played this game before, or did you just skip through all of the dialogue? Many of the points that you’ve mentioned above can be found in game by talking to npc or just through the main quest, others can be found in the books in game.
@@yubaa if they did they should've at least introduce such world building in the game. heck, the 10 lord commission was basically the law enforcer of luofu who keeps order but they had zero appearances when phantilya was about to destroy their whole ship. In fact, if this ship was the size of a planet, it wouldn't explain why there are only 1 general/one city in the whole planet, right? And why did we held a funeral for the fake tingyun when the tingyun on luofu had always been phantilya ssince the beginning? or what about heliobi? they literally possessed key characters, yanqing, Qingque, etc, so how does that make any sense? We don't even know what crimes dan heng, blade, etc, committed, while it's been vaguely told with dan heng, blade with him trying to revive somebody, I think, we don't even know half of the reason and the game already moved on from luofu to other part of the region. The war thingy with the hunt, even that got no explanation that was clear enough. yukong = "war bad,, hunt one shot the anti-matter legion army after my friend dies lmao" jingliu = "war bad, abundance bad, I go jail now" the writing is literally made to appeal to the melodrama over coherent writing.
@@aoki395 your point is invalid when you brought up non-voice npc and books to find the missing world building in the luofu main story, or even in penacony. HSR isn't an exploration game so why would I need to suffer and sit through a bunch of essay that I have to collect across the maps that are not even in proper order or easy to find? HSR writing isn't that deep. it's written so you can see character acting as emo as much as possible with a bunch of death baiting all the while.
@@Qopa Many of the things you mentioned are in voiced mission that you can do. This game isn’t for you, I think a pure fighting base game where you can just smash the button would be better suited for you.
Really wondering why don't you just record let's plays of the hoyo games you are milking for content. They are fairly accesible. Enjoying reactions nonetheless
“Milking for content” lol unlike you, they are busy and have a life outside this. They record these videos prior while they react to other videos people request and play other games first.
@@nubbylittlecat1753 they are content-makers, playing a game is just content. More likely reason is that nobody watches lets plays nowadays so they treat those as secondary priority

@@Link-kr2bc even with probably IPC missinformation, you still says wrong. They said Ifrit is dead (which is hard to believe, even if he died pretty sure he can appear again), but others was split and run. So they will appear. At least Akash for sure since his target is "Harmony".
The last one the girl with violet colors is blake belladona voice actress.
7:53 The name on the right side is the name of the ship they command, in this case Jing Yuan is the Arbiter-General of the Luofu.
It's a shame you guys didn't get to Sparkle's Myriad Celestia trailer, her stuff is crazy.
u gotta react to penacony's story in star rail (but do the rest before this one if you want) I SWEAR ITS GOOD
also the version trailers and animated shorts! must fr
Yay! I was hoping y’all would do Star Rail!
Where's the Sparkle?
The trailer with Kafka, she literally was mind controlling the judges in her trial while her teammates were destroying the planet by inciting a rebellion. Completely faking her entire trial for funzies. Then after she snapped the threads, she allowed them to wake up and realize what had happened right before the robot, Sam, blew them up and busted Kafka out.
Playing with her food indeed lol.
They DID just drop a new one like a couple days ago. So eventually youll have to check it out.
I also want to recommend the animated shorts. There's only 3 of them, but I think you'll enjoy them a lot.
the difference between these teasers and Genshin teasers is that
while those of Genshin focus on the characters themselves and specifically on their story quest that is launched together with them (and once a year the plot of the new region)
The Star Rail ones show worldbuilding that isn't in the game, which I think is a shame, I would much prefer it if I witnessed everything that was shown in the teasers in the game instead of just watching a video
However, I also understand that Star Rail only has 10 maps per "planet" and this limits their storytelling while Genshin has an entire open world to fill with stories and interactions
Black Swan is voiced by the same person who voices Blake from Rwby, btw.
Guess this means a Star Rail journey is in order.
About Kafka admitting everyhing... but she didn't? It pretty much gone:
"It didn't happened like that... but we took Stellaron."
"Actually proud of that one!"
"It was you guys who done it, but we took Stellaron"
"That was mostly you and your Annihilation Gang buddies... but I admit it, game is over anyway."
There's a new one that came out recently you can react to it as well or save it for a next batch but as these take some time to come out you'd have to wait a while to make a new batch.
You should check out the trailers for Limbus Company
Well, you did recognize Kafka, so that's something.
Welcome to the StarRail Iceberg!
Great video ? It's kinda sad tho that you released it just before they dropped 2 great ones
Our timing is always perfect 😂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Yeah, haha
Anyway I love your content, keep up the great work !
When will you guys react to the new DBD trailers?
Don't feel bad about having no idea what's going on in these because the Myriad Celestia Trailers were all by design meant to provide background lore and context to storylines and characters that are already inside the game's story.
Weirdly enough even though the word "Trailer" is in their title they're not really meant for marketing or teasing the game's story towards non-players of HSR.
So anyone who hasn't played the game or knows nothing about the story and characters understandably will be totaly lost watching these.
We need to see more Honkai. XD
ngl it was funny to watch you guys being confused throughout 30 minutes of this, ahahah. as a lot of people mentioned before - these "trailers" are meant to be more like an addition to the main story. hoyo usually release those when the new character, or event, or another type of content is dropped, so dont worry about not understanding shit xd.
for example, this IPC intergalactic propaganda ad was released with the new (at that time) character, Topaz, whos working for this organisation. so basically, hoyo just helped us to understand more ab her environment, how she does her job and etc etc..
and thats pretty much the recipe for every clip that u saw. to properly feel and get the idea of whats going on - you need to play the game or at least know some basic lore related stuff. thats why i was also confused why people recommended these to you.
but ANYWAYS! thank you for trying to sit through all of it and not lose your brains, cuz it IS a total gibberish outside the context. you guys truly are the greatest, ahah!
will wait for another honkai reaction from you
Hehehe, these were very interesting,
Also, yes, Honkai, Genshin and Star Rail are all by the Same Company, but not necessarily the same People.
By the way, how about reacting to all the Reverse 1999 Trailers next at some point too?
You guys should react to the Star Rail animated shorts.
It's okay. I play the game but I often don't get what they're saying.
Huohuo sparks joy. (She's a precious cinnamon roll and traumatized child!)
Tail does not spark joy. (But damn is he savage!)
No Sparkle? :(
I love jingliu
She's amazing 🩵🩵🩵
Please do world in conflict all trailers
Please take a look at the trailers of Onmyoji games, they are no less good than the trailers of other games
Neat
It will be better with the subtitles since Mihoyo adds words to them, and you'll miss some stuff
Suggestion honkai star rail cutscenes
Version trailers next.
Please react to The Division and The Division 2 story/cutscenes/trailers!
LETS GO
Please react to Black swan and Sparkle’s character trailer. If you react to music videos, react to “WHITE NIGHT” Version 2.0 trailer
Pls reac all version trailer
i prefer belobog story than penacony imo...
Reverse order?
Dont answer that. Currently watching.
EDIT: NVM, order is restored.
"Luofo, the chinese planet, the game never even mentioned that there are more than one ship beyond this one ship that we can freely travel currently."
I know for a fact that this is a lie.
The war thingy with the hunt, even that got no explanation that was clear enough.
yukong = "war bad,, hunt one shot the anti-matter legion army after my friend dies lmao"
jingliu = "war bad, abundance bad, I go jail now"
the writing is literally made to appeal to the melodrama over coherent writing.
This game isn’t for you, I think a pure fighting base game where you can just smash the button would be better suited for you.
these are packed with lore and not really fitting for reaction by anyone who are not into the lore of the game
Really we need gta sa gameplay/trailer
Like and comment if you need gta sa gameplay or trailer
:( D
in japanese is better
very genshin impact? genshin could never
Really wondering why don't you just record let's plays of the hoyo games you are milking for content. They are fairly accesible. Enjoying reactions nonetheless
“Milking for content” lol unlike you, they are busy and have a life outside this. They record these videos prior while they react to other videos people request and play other games first.
