Beyond that Daniel monet was bullied through her character. Alll of the jokes had to do with how repulsive everyone found her physically. We as viewers always were confused because she’s obviously beautiful. What made her different than the other girls? Was it that she was slightly curvier and tanner than the rest of the girls? Idk, but whatever the reason instead of relying on insulting the obnoxious personality of the character she played, she was insulted over how she looked.

As an 80's baby with younger siblings, I noticed the changes in the roles for young people from being 'kids' to being overly- sexualized young adults with very little parenting interaction. All of these shows seemed to put children on the same maturity level as adults, which us fodder for monsters like Dan Schneider. I went to him, then the dept director, then HR… nothing helped even though everyone saw it and saw him gaslighting me about it. Smh. He’s insane so I left and now I have a way better job somewhere I love. I did get to tell him he’s “psychotic for treating people like that and void of all leadership ability” when I quit. That was a nice moment.

Nice!! I’ve had some truly narcissistic managers in my day & it feels amazing to let them know how you really feel. I hope you’re doing well & have processed all of that so it doesn’t negatively influence your next position or your feelings about work.
No joke, I sobbed in therapy this week over my insane boss(es) trauma: it can be legitimately damaging to our psyche to be continually demeaned & gaslighted by someone we work for, especially if in the situation of desperately needing the job. Terrible people seek positions of power over others. The more they know you need the job, the worse they’ll treat you.
I can’t believe some of the abuse I put up with (eg, horrible accusations of lying or theft that once undeniably disproven were never rescinded or apologized for; screaming & cursing, being called “fcking stupid” for asking a perfectly reasonable question, once fired & told “I don’t have to give you a reason!” bc its an “at will employment” state). The trauma of it all from over many years finally caught up w me during covid & I haven’t been able to return to work.
We deserve better. I try to remind myself that “bright lights attract dark energies” (I’m very spiritual; alternately, empaths attract narcissists) and my coworkers & clients/customers always loved & supported me. Next time, I just have to start looking for something else immediately once any passive aggressive behavior begins. It’s embarrassing to admit I can’t think about returning to work without crying bc it’s a 50/50 gamble of another evil arrogant jerk (they virtually always present friendly at interviews).

@@psychegoddessoflight9358 I so, so, soooo feel for you. I left a toxic work environment years ago. I explain it in a comment in the comment section of this vid. Ive had other bad things happen at other jobs too but nothing topped this particular work environment.
I too have also had one super awesome boss that I was so sad that I had to leave the job for a much better paying and secure job, otherwise I would have stayed as long as he was my boss. He was such a sweetheart. Literally treated me like a daughter. I still miss him to this day.
I hope that someday you have the courage and the mental fortitude to go back to work. There's one thing in group therapy that I still remember to this day: don't let others live rent-free in your head, or let their words control how you act and feel. Don't ever let someone have that power over you. They aren't entitled to it nor do they deserve to have that power. It belongs to you and only you. You are strong. You just have to find that inner strength. It will take time, but you will find it again. I wish you all the best in the world! 🤗

In hindsight, I would’ve been good at those jobs, and finding the courage to let go of an employee who wasn’t pulling their weight would’ve been strengthening. Live & learn! 🤷🏾‍♀️

Apparently at one point they and the Disney channel would just shuffel their problematic producers (accused and someones CONVICTED of inappropriate relations with children( back and forth instead of giving them any kind of permanent repercussion such as termination. Kudos to the brave young child actors speaking out against them and exposing them. The only way these creepos will stop their behavior is if they can no longer operate in secret. I am glad she spoke out..and it's sad she went through this.
BUT a note on the video!!!
Maybe saying do not continue in toxic work environment is waaay better than saying "do not allow them to happen do not allow them to occur" becuase I am pretty sure the victims are NOT making them happen.

i had a toxic work experience at target, and like you said, it was hell on earth! so much bullying from coworkers and HORRIBLE toxic managers. i had never been thru such TORMENT in my life and it was my first job straight out of high school. one of the managers was deadass RACIST and they would still keep him employed even after some of the coworkers complained about it.
