There's really not that much difference but it's an experiment... so good for you. I might suggest taking off the muffler after drilling or before for that matter and shaking out all that loose debris..
If you run too lean you can burn the exhaust valve but that has nothing to do with back pressure. Install a 130 main get. Thats what they used to come with from the factory.
great vid. very useful information and well executed

Do you get any more power or is it just louder?
Have you rejetted your xt?
Sounds like your idle maybe a bit high. Looks like you didn't have any trouble at all! Two thumbs up! American_Greenz
Bike was cold. If i lower this anymore, once its warm, It dies at lights and stops. I need to clean the carb and adjust the valves.
Do you know if this will work on an xt 250? I've got an old one from 84
If you remove the spark arrestor you may wear out the exhaust valves faster due to no back pressure.
No I have not jetted it

Did you lose any low in torque ?
that's a BIG hole- we only drilled a 3/4 hole in ours
me too, i didn't want it that noisy
@gregs3032 what size is he using?
@@travislakin that looks like 1 & 1/4 inch (1.25)
He's going to need to rejet that carb or else it'll start running poopy & can damage the valves with that much of a difference in backpressure
Run stronger?
Definitely runs better, especially when you also rejet the carb, open up the airbox and use a uni filter.
Se Deus quiser vou deixar a minha assim ❤️🙌🏾
Olharas e verás

would there be any negative effects if the arrestor were to be left off?
fuel efficiency will be decrease !
can't go in the bush
