Naw I have to side with the team
I want to see a full season of excellence, before I redo his contract.
If he has a great year he'll want weigh more at the end.
I 100% agree and I'm a die-hard Packers fan. I wanna see a full season without a ton of mistakes before dropping that much cash on the guy.
I believe he will do well, but I gotta see more consistency before betting the farm on him. Look what happened to Denver when they tried that.
Colin bases this on a half season but still disrespects Purdy.

I hope the owners lock out the players. I am not against people making money but to have one guy eat up that much of your salary cap and still say he’s a team player is beyond hypocritical.
As a Packers fan I was not a fan of Love getting drafted when he did, and going into last season I was one of his biggest haters because I am 20 and grew up watching Rodgers and one of my best moments was their Super Bowl in 2010 against Pittsburg. That being said i am excited to keep Jordan in the building. I literally named one of my fantasy football teams “In Love We Trust” and I have him as my QB. Can’t wait to see him succeed and grow
Shocking, his stars got better on the weaker portion of their schedule. Pump the brakes on his kids talent until the end of this year. He’s good, but how do you literally give this man a giant contract off of a half of a year’s good play?
his best games during that stretch were against detroit, kansas city, and dallas. But I understand you're a casual so its alright
As a lions fan our defense was horrible so it ain’t hard to do good against us

Kansas City is a shell of what they used to be. Still a good team, but nowhere near what they used to be.
Dallas is so up and down you never know what you’re gonna get from week to week. One week they’re great the next week they’re trash.

@@emsp8 The chiefs' defense last year was the best it's been in the Mahomes era. Writing off the packers straight up beating them (scored more points against them than any other team in the league last year btw) just because it doesn't fit with your narrative isn't very objective.
And yeah the cowboys suck but again, you are just waving your hand at a near perfect passer rating in a playoff game that snapped something like a 15-game home win streak. I'm with you on the fact that people should cool their jets before crowning Love green bay's next HoF qb, but stating that his stats were better only because the schedule was weaker is straight up wrong.

Contracts in football are BS. When they can cut you during a contract and not pay out the contract that isn’t a contract that is a scam. Look at real contracts in MLB and the NBA.

2.) When they force players to negotiate trade clauses because teams would trade them at the earliest convenience.
3.) When teams Bargain players to reduce cap issues caused by the teams themselves...
Ps. If you don't have an issue with corporate Americans renegotiating their contracts, then you shouldn't have an issue with athletes doing the same.

Contracts in The NFL are BS. When they can cut you and not pay you the terms of your contract then you have the same right to not play during the terms of your contract. NFL Contracts are BS indentured servitude.

I’d work with him and negotiate a mutual deal, but I’d sooner let him walk than give him a contract near what he’s hoping to get.
How quickly we forget last year we were saying he might not make it past Thanksgiving he signed a team friendly deal because he wasn't sure if he was going to be the starting quarterback so he got good money just not top money. Even up to Thanksgiving everybody was saying he's not going to make it we forget how bad everybody thought he was because he surprised everyone is it the coaching or is it Jordan love

Yeah, my suggestion is take all the contract signing bonuses all that money stuff and create a separate channel or cable channel that just deals with that so everybody can gyrate over the money. Am I the only one that still wants to see more from Jordan Love before I’m convinced he’s good? There have been plenty of QB’s who played good for part of a season that ended up not being very good consistently, so I just can’t say I’m sure on him yet. I definitely couldn’t say I’ve seen enough to give him a gigantic contract right now

@@GiannisandIrie He also looked very pedestrian for half the season. Like I said, there have been many QB’s who played great for a handful of games at the end of a season who went on to just be average starters or decent backups. It’s just still too soon to tell.

Love played Bad teams last year plus a Vikings team without Kirk Cousin and a horrible Bears team twice and they still went 9-8
He played some of the best defenses in the NFL and toasted them....
Who did they beat the Bears and the Vikings twice?
