Clearly, the negative reviews here are from those unfortunates who are anchored by debts in northern Europe, in the cold and grey, diminishing salaries, high taxes, are made sullen and miserable by misrule and decay all around them, and resent the good fortune that guys, like this Belgium man and his family, have found a haven from all these miseries. Life only gets better and richer in sunny Cyprus!
Continental Europe is doing well and summers in northern Europe are way better than in Cyprus. 40°C weather? No thanks. Even people in my country (Czechia) which is not nearly as wealthy as West are buying second home properties in Spain, Canary Island, Croatia or Bulgaria. Tap water in Cyprus is not drinkable, seems like the only reason to set for Cyprus is taxes.
Economically Czechia is doing well and I would not compare the tax burden, safety and cost of living, especially outside Prague, with many other developed countries in Western Europe and especially the North of Europe. The situation there is very different, to say the least.
@@sanderrecommends What are the biggest Pros for moving and starting a business in Cyprus besides beaches, weather and taxes? Cyprus itself is a small market both for potential customers and workforce. On top shipping anything is costly, so maybe setting a digital business instead of manufacturing makes sense in Cyprus. Is it significantly easier to create a company there? I am trying to wrap my head around it. To me if Cyprus was such a gem, many Greek people would relocate there, but I never heard of that thing happening..
Even everything is not perfect in Cyprus, it's worth coming to live and invest there for those who are fed up with northern EU. Europe has been facing bad political decisions of our governments for the last 50 years, which will lead to the bankruptcy of many European countries in the near future. Let's hope that Cyprus will preserve itself from this decline and continue to make every effort to attract investors and, above all, not lose its charm and quality of life.🙂
Never. Infrastructure is non-existent, crime is high, corruption, especially in Government, is off the scale. Retire there and buy a house, yes, but don't move a business there.
I'm in Cyprus at the moment. I wonder, given that it is an island, what critical infrastructure is missing? And have you had any experience incorporating a company in Cyprus and doing business that you had to deal with corruption and crime?
Fantasy, the crime rate is terrible in Cyprus, corruption is rife in every aspect of life there, rents, supermarkets are a complete rip off, drugs rife in every corner of the place, drink drivers abundant , The grass is never greener on the other side.
Would you move to live in Cyprus?

If we're forgetting Cyprus, what countries should we look at?
