- Nick Taylor authorised Stack and Tilt and GOLFTEC instructor explains the #1 Imperative of the golf swing as described by Homer Kelley in The Golfing Machine book.
The Golfing machine book was written by Homer Kelley on 1969 and it took him 30 years of studying to complete the book, some say it's the 'golfing bible.' In the book Homer described 3 imperatives to play good golf including the first which is the 'flat left' wrist.
In this video Nick discusses the book and explains the 'flat left' wrist and includes a drill to help you play better golf.

i've had the book for 50 years but it was a hard read for me. i'm glad there's guys on youtube like nick and others to help get through it. i'm a believer in it.
Great lesson. Really informative. Thanks Nik.
Thanks Glenn 🙏
Thanks Nick for all your videos during the year much appreciated happy Xmas and new year to you family.
Thanks JB, happy holidays to you
Great video Nick...really simplifies the movement. Taking it to the range a bit later. Happy New Year
Good luck Bob and happy new year
This is awesome!!!! I have been trying to get this in order. You have helped me hit ball more consistent but that wrist , the chicken wing, the lag is my issue now. This is a wonderful video and very informative thank you. Now going down to basement and working on this. Thank you Nick Happy Holidays brother.
Thanks Tone, good luck with the practice and happy holidays
Cracking video, Nick. Glad you included "clubface square at impact". I was taught to drop it open from the top and square it with my hands at the last nanosecond thru impact. I can't do it. My hands are not fast enough (these days...none of me is fast enough 🤣). My key swing thought is right hand on top on the way down to square the face (it's not actually on top...feel vs real). Thanks for videos this year and have a great New Year when it comes 😄
Thanks Martin, the clubface like u say is huge. Get that right and u have a chance. Happy new year to you and the family
Correct me if I am wrong. Getting the hands to go down and forward through impact stimulates more body rotation so the alignment stick will never hit your body as you swing through the shot. Never before until this video mentioning in passing (not a central theme which in my mind it is) the connection between movement of hands down and forward through impact.and body rotation but to me that is an eye opener to ensure sufficient body rotation through impact that has always been a problem for me. .
I find it does hit me slightly in the full swing, the only issue some golfers will not sway the hips forward enough using the stick to prevent from hitting the body so you have to aware of this
Nick! Where you been brother. Great video awesome book.
Thanks Scotty, I was in the states for a couple of weeks and been mega busy in Singapore so had a few weeks off but back on it now 🏌️
@@NickTaylorGolf that’s awesome you were in the states! I live in Auburn, Alabama. We have some top notch courses in Alabama. Next time you get to the states try to get in a couple of rounds. Bring Rob with you and maybe we can meet up for a round lol. That would be one of my dream rounds. God bless Nick and Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Thanks, happy holidays Scotty
